Alrighty, I suppose I should join in and introduce myself.
I'm Kerry (turn 30 in June this year, but plan on just celebrating the anniversary of turning 29 <g>) and I live near Perth in Scotland. I am a Manufacturing Engineer with an Edinburgh company which keeps me busy and challenged!
I am heading back to Orlando in April for the Easter hols - first time I'll have gone at 'peak times' as I usually avoid them, but this time I'm going with my step-sister and two teenage (13 and 14) nephews, so it couldn't be helped.
I've been to Orlando twice before (in '93 and '96), but have been to the US numerous times, including a 4 month stint in '95 where I worked in a theme park in Nashville. I visited Disneyland California last September and had a great time, so am really looking forward to doing 'the World' again and seeing how things have changed since my last visit and I can't wait to see how my nephews enjoy their first ever US trip.
I absolutely LOVE planning and organising trips, so this site is like a dream come true - I don't feel so neurotic now! <g> Thanks to the many tips I've found here, I'm sure I'll have a great trip.
Kerry
Hi
I'm Tracy, aged 27 and live with Iain aged 34. We live in Newton le Willows, Merseyside.
We're looking forward to our trip to Florida in September, we last went in Sept 02 and April 1999. Iain has also been in 96,93 and 90, so lucky!!!
I'm feeling sorry for myself at the moment, just been to the dentist for a filling. Iain has just got me a drink with straw:(
We are holidaying with Virgin for the first time and are looking forward to that. We're staying in Quality Inn Plaza (across from Pointe, I Drive).
:jump: :kissing: :thumb:
welcome to all of you:) Hope your tooth's better now tracy!
Should have done this a while ago, anyway....here goes:-
I'm Lisa, I'm 35 and married to Mike. We have two sons George and William aged 6 and 9. We live in Newhaven which is near Brighton.
We are going on our first ever trip to Florida in May for three weeks.
The Dibb has been the most useful thing I have found regarding Florida. It has just about answered every question I have had so far about our trip.
We are renting a private villa and flying with Virgin.
I'm soooooo excited - even more so than my kids!

Hi
I'm Debbie, just turned 40 and have a son Matthew, nearly 10. I'm from Spalding in Lincolnshire so may have met Stu!
We are going on 26/3 (how do I get the countdown clock?)and don't know who is the most excited! We went 2 years ago but Matthew wasn't tall enough for some of the rides, but he's about 54" tall now so we could do the lot - unless one of us chickens out!
I would just like to say that I've found this web site really useful & its great hearing other peoples stories.
Debbie
Hi Debbie! ..Welcome to The Dibb! Have a look HERE (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13753) for countdown instructions!
Have a wonderful time in 2 weeks!

Oh what the heck.
My name isn't Edie at all. It's Sharon, married to Russ, son Adam (13). We live in Leeds with 3 deranged cats, one elderly guinea pig, several tropical fish and lots of guitars. We both work for the NHS.
Edie was my grandmother's name. I decided to use an alias as I suspected everyone on the internet might be axe wielding maniacs. :D
Found this site when Mike Jones was deviously encouraging defections from the DIS to break the record for members on line at one time. Glad I found you!

It's about time I put my name to this thread! I am a relative new member of Dibb but have contributed quite a lot since I joined only a few weeks ago.
My name is Zoe and also used an alias like Sharon because I was also worried about axe wielding maniacs on the internet!!
I'm 39 years old, live in Surrey and am married with two boys aged 7 and 10. This will be our first trip to WDW and we are staying at CBR.

Hi Everyone
I am Sarah, from North Wales, happily married to Tony since 2002, and we have 4 kids between us: Stephen (14) , Louise (13), Taryn (13) and Daniel (10). I first went to Disney in Paris, and from that moment on I was addicted to the magic. Since then we have fallen completely in love with Florida, both Orlando and the Keys and the Gulf Coast (in fact all the places we have visited so far!)
Ultimate dream is to buy a property out there but as we both work for the NHS we will be a long time saving!
This year we plan to move house (sold ours last week and deperately looking for new place), and DH and I plan to take a cruise to celebrate my 40th (aaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Next trip to Orlando planned for 2005, when I finish my midwifery training, when we are renting a villa in Pinewood Country estate! Can't wait!!!!
I love this site and it has been a relief to find that there are other people out there who are as Florida and Disney addicted as myself (and more so!!!!).

Hi everyone.
I'm Jackie, 45, married to Jim with a son of 10, Ben. Jim and I met in 1973 (yep, been together over 30 years!) and I still get goosebumps when he comes home at night!
First went to WDW in April 1992. We had been trying for a baby for a few years but suffered numerous miscarriages and an ectopic which nearly put paid to me. Decided to have a holiday and Florida promised quite nice weather at the time we wanted to go. Up until that time, had never yearned to go to WDW - didn't think we would ever be able to afford it! Fell in love with the place and have been broke ever since, scheming and planning to go back! Ben was 6 months old when he first experienced WDW and he loves it as much as we do.
Never stayed onsite. Usually stay at Courtyard by Marriott in Hotel Plaza Boulevard - like having a balcony.

Hello
I'm Rachel, Mum to Josh age 12 who has Aspergers Syndrome and servant to Lexie and Dyson our two moggies.
I moved to Medway from Surrey two years ago and it's finally starting to feel like home.
I've been around various Disney groups since around 1993 and duchy is a very old nickname that I got bestowed with around that time from the Rec.Arts.Disney news group.
I've just given up "real" work and am doing some freelance writing which would be fine if I had the self discipline not to keep drifting off to Disney posts when I should be working !!
Seven visits to WDW so far, five to DLP and one to DL.
Favourite parks EPCOT and MGM,
Favourite rides Great Movie Ride and Spaceship Earth
Favourite Hotel Beach Club though usually I stay at the moderates.

Just seen this thread too !
I am Jamie, I have 3 DS's George(10), Charlie(8) and Harry(6) and I live with Nikki.
Boys football runs my life totally and we have little time for anything else which annoys me all year round!
First went WDW 2002 - Nikki's treat to all of us boys, she had been twice before when younger. We are all returning Oct 2004 together with 2 Friends who have never been, staying in Nikki's brothers Villa - which is handy !
Boys don't know yet - hoping to keep it secret for as long as possible.
I work as a Senior Systems programmer for the same (poor) company as Nikki who is an Application Developer.
Thats about it - Oh apart from I am secretly planning to Wed Nikki in Florida at some point in the not too distant future - planning, schools and her acceptance permitting! Another excuse to go back.
Hi
Only just discovered this thread.....first saw the dibb about a year ago when trying to decide on going to WDW or not!!
I'm Lisa, live in Cardiff, work as an IT Consultant as does husband and have a gorgeous (if clever so-and-so!) 3 year old son Emyr (unless you're Welsh you won't be able to pronounce it and even if you are Welsh you may still have problems!).
We've been to WDW twice before we had Emyr and am very much looking forward to our first trip with him in October.
Am very pleased I found thedibb as its been hugely useful on all sorts of issues I didn't even think of!

Hi all
I'm Sabrina, just joined and going to Florida in Sept with DBF Chris, it's our first time and we are v.v.v excited. I discovered the DIBB and am now addicted. I have found so much info on this site. Thank You all!
Hi!
I'm Claire.
I found the DIBB whilst performing searches on Google, Ask Jeeves etc on various aspects of my holiday planning and found that this strange web site always had a comment or discussion on whatever I was asking about! (Think the first one was a search on where I could get a Disney World Mr Potato Head!!)
Not looked back since...
Been to Orlando 6 times now - the latest was in Feb, when I proposed to my (now) fiance! Under the stars in a hot tub at the Comfort Suites MGE....
(YES, it was the 29th :wink and YES, he did say YES! :jump: :jump: :jump: )
Off again in September and taking the whole family!

I Was wondering which forum to introduce myself on..
Well I am Paul.. and I am 36, I live in Sunny Sussex and am an I.T. Security Consultant. I am Engaged to Zoe.. a Sales Manager in a Specialist Travel agency (Skiing and Tennis, not Disney...yet!)
I first went to Orlando in 1990 with My sister, Her Fiancee and a friend. Back then, Universal only had one park and even that didnt have the Back to the Future ride.. I had long hair and a penchant for cut-off denims... EPCOT was known as "the Epcot Centre" I carried a full size VHS camcorder round for two weeks even on Big Thunder Mountain, We have 9 Hours of footage from that holiday and it comes out occasionally when I am bored working from home... Full length rides of Horizons, World of Motion, Fort Liberty Dinner show and many others..
(Mental note, must scan in some old photos and video)
There was a lull and I went back in 1992 with some of my friends (we thought we would do something other than Ibiza for a lads trip) This time, we stayed in a private villa in Kissimmee and took with us a sony Hi8 camcorder, a little smaller, so no black eyes this time...Well, there couldnt be, three days into our holiday we visited Busch gardens and I took the camcorder onto whatever the log ride was called there (Sensibly I put the camcorder inside a carrier bag to keep it dry)....Un sensibly, it was one of these safety carrier bags that have little holes to stop kids suffocating.. I had it the wrong way up and rather than keeping water out, i kind of helped it in... and kept it there...
£300.00 pounds of repairs later and we got the tape out.. but not much to look at..
Had the good fortune to have a conference at the Marriott World resort in March 2002 and took a few days off to see how things had changed but only got to see the disney parks and the same for March 2004
Zoe on the other hand, despite being a travel agent has not really done the Disney thing....She grew up in a caravanning family (I mean, they owned a caravan, they arent "Pikeys" (With due respect to any in that category here)) Never been to a theme park ever.. Until I took her to DLP about a year ago...
We get married this friday.. and we fly out Saturday for two weeks in Port Orleans - Riverside. So far we have Disney and Universal tickets, we have a swim booked with Discovery Cove Inluding Sea World and Busch Gardens
We have Tickets for Cirque Du Soleil and a pencilled in reservation for SkyVentures...
Anyway, thats my long winded introduction over... I am taking a Laptop, but I cant promise I will use it.. But I will be typing up trip reports and will get them too you as soon as possible..
See Ya..

Love the website, and check it everyday.
Hi
I have been a member for just over a year now.
I'm Lynn from Aberdeenshire. Married to Robin (police officer) for 22 years with two daughters Laura 16 and Rebecca 13.
I have worked in a local playgroup for 11 years and qualified a couple of years ago as a nursery nurse.
Only been to Disney twice but hoping to go go back in either 2005 or 2006 depending on oldest daughter and when she decides to leave school.
Great site with great information.

Hiya! I'm Christina, and I stumbled upon this place last week whilst surfing online looking for info about the hurricane (My parents and my son were over in Orlando at the time). I'm 31, live in W.Yorks, am a mum to a 9 year old terror.. sorry, i meant angel... and i'm a nurse for my sins!
First went to WDW when I was 18, and would quite happily go back every year forever.... Nothing beats that feeling of stepping on to Main Street and taking in the sights, sounds and smells!
Other than spending WAY too much time on the internet.... I'm a music freak... My passion being U2 above all other things.... Showing Bono around EPCOT... now theres a fantasy! :wink

Hello all!
Been a member for a while now and you probably should know a little about me!
My name is Vicki, I am 23 and married to Paul, a 29 year old electrician (manager). We got married on April 3rd this year (and what a great day it was too!)
We have two daughters aged 5 and 6. I am newly qualified nurse.
My friends and family are always moaning at me that I am always on holiday but my girls have travelled all over the world and love it..............can't see the harm in that.............can you?!
My most recent trip abroad was to Cuba in April 2004 for my honeymoon and we are currently looking forward to Florida in January 2005 and Jamaica in December 2005. Such a hard life!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL ;)
Diane here (well, well, there's a surprise!)
Joined a couple of weeks ago and I'm hooked already!
Married to Anthony for 10 years, daughter Vicki aged 12 (you do the math!!) . Work as a p/t Insurance Administrator in Exeter.
First time at Disney was in 1988 (no MGM, AK or Universal Parks then!). Also travelled extensively around Europe for holidays (including DP!) but it just made me hanker all the more for WDW!
So, went back there with DH & DD last year - now they are hooked too. Came back and DH insisted on booking again for next March 05 (well, who am I to argue?!).
Still always get that feeling when I stand at the top of Main St and get first glimpse of the Castle, and I always have the biggest lump in my throat when I watch the Parade!
Yes...its still my favourite place on the planet :jump:

It's Gaynor here - there aren't many of us around!
I am married to Andy with a daughter 14 and a son 10. I had been to Florida once before, but in Feb this year we went as a family with hangeroners called 'my mum' and 'my auntie'! We had a fab time and would love to return one day when we've saved our pennies!
Monday begins a new phase as I am returning to work after 10 years of bringing up the children. I'm plunging in feet first and going full time (sssttttuuupppidd) I am quite excited actually - I'm sure it will wear off!
I would like to thank my very faithful friends of the doggy type called Arnold and Sam (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) for lying underneath the computer table for hours on end while I sit and read Dibb and laugh out loud at regular intervals.
Keep up the good work folks!

Hello. My name is Veronica and I'm from Devon, England. I registered here a while back but I lead a very busy life and haven't managed to pop in as often as I would like.
Prior to marrying Cuthbert I was a sausage stuffer in a factory. Since my marriage I have had two adorable children, Dixie who is 7 and Amos who is 6. I am now a home maker and spend most days shopping, watching TV and having beauty treatments. I also travel to London once a week to go to Harrods.
I live in a beautiful manor and employ numerous persons to keep it in ship shape condition. I would be lost without them. Cuthbert is out most days at his top secret employment and spends his evenings in his study with his friend whisky.
My hobbies include shopping, travelling, horse riding, beauty treatment, hair dressing appointments, television (especially Coronation Street, Eastenders and X-Factor), sociallising with my many friends, chatting to all my internet buddies and collecting my children from the car when the chauffeur collects them from school.
Look forward to seeing you all around.

Hi
Haven't been on for ages, so totally forgotten how this all works
I am Sue, married to Steve and off to WDW again next Spetember for 5th time. Just got back from Disneyland Paris 2 weks ago and going back for Christmas.
I am a travel agent, so if any of you want any good advice or where to get best deals etc, let me know!
My turn,
Hi all, joined the dibb earlier this year and only just found this thread !!!!
Well, my names Debby (obviously !) aged 37 and my partner is Rick (40), we have two adorable boys aged 6 and 4 who are actually little terrors occasionally.
Our first trip to Disneys was this year and we had a wonderful time and planning to go again, but will have to make do with Toy Story on Ice in December.......
enough about me, what about the rest of you out there.........
Deb1968
31 Oct 04, 09:31 PM
oooh oohh my turn now......
My name is Debbie and I have been a member since earlier this year - but visiting as a guest for much longer! I am 36 and married to Alan. We have two children, Alec (10) and Hannah (nearly four! - very important to her). Alan and I caught "the disney bug" from our friends 13 years ago and we have been 5 times in that period. Alec has been twice but was too young to remember and Hannah has never been. We are off again in December with our friends, who are vacation club members (lucky things) and their two children. Never before have we spent so much time planning a holiday....
It had been kept a secret from the kids until last night - they had a treasure hunt then had to rearrange the letters on the clues to guess what the surprise was - if their reaction was anything to go by, I think we made a good choice!
Didn't realise this thread existed by the way - now I know how you all seem to know each other so well.....
Look forward to "seeing" you on the boards.
Debs:jump: :jump: :jump:
I only just stumbled on this thread...been Dibbing for a couple of months now and thought this would be a good opportunity for the formal introduction!
So....Hi everyone, I'm Diane (no surprise there then! :D )
I'm 42, married to DH Anthony, aged 44 , have 2 children, DS Alex aged 19 (no longer lives at home :( ) and DD Vicki aged 12 (going on 23 :p: ). My Father lives with us, in a self-contained part of the same house, although we all meet up for meals etc. We live in Exmouth, Devon which is about 8 miles from Exeter where DH & I both work. DH works as a Driver/Fitter/Operator and General Dogsbody for a Powered Platform Hire Company and I work part time as an Insurance Administrator for a large American Company, EDS. We administer the Life and Protection policies for Liverpool Victoria Life Co.
I stumbled on this site by accident and I've been hooked ever since! Its so useful and always cheers me up when I've had a rotten day at work :D .
I first went to WDW in 1988 and spent the next 15 years trying to persuade DH that it was really something to behold. His typical reply was always "Don't fancy it, Disney is for kids, rather go to Spain etc etc". finally he caved in and we went together and took DD last year...his response?..."why have I waited all these years to get here? what was I thinking of, this is sooo much better than Spain, etc etc!" . As soon as we got back, he was on the internet looking for a bargain so that we could go back again and as you can see from my countdown, Easter 2005 we will be going back....Yaay!
Judging by his new found love of Florida we will be using the Dibb to plan a lot more holidays in the future!
Really enjoyed reading about everybody here, and I have been made to feel very welcome since joining...thanks Guys! :D

Hi Folks!
I'm Linda. Just found and joined this site thanks to Zoe (2BoysMum&Dad).
My son David, 21, is doing an Illustration and Animation degree at Southampton University.
We have both been Disney fans for years. (In my case, 51 years!!!) Hey? Anyone remember Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, and Huckleberry Hound, and Pixie, Dixie and Jinxy???
Never been to any of the Disney venues, but, hey, there's still time!!
Been looking round the site today, and there is just SO much to see! Looks as though I'll just have to come back tomorrow!!
Regards
Linda

Hi guys
I'm still relatively new to this forum but enjoying sharing stuff with like minded individuals.
My name is Ian but have been known as the "Big Dog" for many years at work which has spread to my friends and family. Even my DW sends cards (Xmas, birthday etc) addressed to the "Big Dog". She subsequently became "Momma Dog" and my DS "Lil' Pup" which is ironic really since he is now over 6' (at 15 yrs old!). The Big Dog shops in Orlando always get loads of business from me when we are there!!!
I'm not really 42, I'm actually 21 with 21 years experience (OK I'm 42), and have been married to my DW for going on 18 years. As said above our DS is 15 (16 in 2 weeks).
We live in Newcastle and my other passion in life is football (not soccer!), being a season ticket holder for Newcastle United (Howay the Toon!!!) as you could probably gather from my avatar, although I promise I'm not a hooligan.
We took our first Orlando holiday in 1994 expecting it to be a once in a lifetime event. This year we returned for the 6th time and have already booked for next year again. Our favourite park is IOA closely followed by Epcot for me and MGM for DW and DS. Everything else then follows in equal degree.
It's great to be able to share Orlando stuff, and in fact stuff in general with all you guys.

Hello all,
I've just spent a happy hour getting to know you all on this site, much better than the housework I was supposed to be doing! I found this site about a week ago and it GREAT!
Well I am Kim ( 43 ) married for 7 years to George ( 49 ) and we have a gorgeous DD Alex aged 6 going on 26. Honestly she tells us to grow up at least once a week but has never answered our question 'why should we' to our satisfaction so we won't.
I am a Nurse specialising in Parkinsons Disease and Hubby is something to do with computers, work study and data management - I think. We live in North Devon which is a great place but not as good as Florida. If I won the lottery I would be straight over there for good and I don't care about the hurricaines!
We had our once in a lifetime trip to Orlando this Easter and are going back next xmas with my two best friends and their families - fifteen of us hence the name. Getting lots of good advice from people on the site and its just so friendly! Well done everyone and thanks for the great welcome.

I'm Pam - originally from Scotland but been in England for about 20 years. Married to Bill who was 50 this year (I'm 42 - I think!) and we have a daughter Olivia who is 5. First went to Florida in 2002 for my 40th and haven't looked back! First time went on a Virgin 21 night tour which was great - stayed in some lovely hotels. Went back in 2003 to Villa at Lindfields and then pushed the boat out a bit this year (literally) for Bill's 50th with a 3 week trip at Eater including a 4 day Bahamas cruise and then another surprise week in October for half-term. Have our next 2 trips booked Easter and October next year. He keeps saying things like - when we have had enough of Florida - but no sign yet!!
We both work for BT full-time - we need to to pay for all these holidays!! Bill teaches karate and I shop for holidays!!

Hi Mike, yes, I'm in Whitefield.....not far from Junction 17 of M62.
Still finding my feet on the DIBB, reading plenty of the old posts before I jump in and actually contribute! Spent a good chunk of this morning reading some Trip reports, particularly enjoyed Rusty 30's style of reporting! She should bring them out in paperback.
Welcome Manc_Chris, nice to see more Utd fans here!. Season ticket for 16years, north stand lower, back row - just in front of the boxes!

Thanks, soozicue. Nice to be here!
Season Ticket holder, North Stand Tier 2....up in the clouds ! Ever watched United on telly while you were in Fla. ?? One occasion I won't ever forget was watching us lose 5-0 to Newcastle , in the Cricketers Arms at the Mercado! Everybody in the place (apart from a handful of Utd Fans) were loving it.....nearly ruined my holiday!
ps. I lived in Heaton Mersey for many years.
Actually, no - we have a vow to avoid anything from home whilst on hols. Did go into Innovations at Epcot to get the results on the Net though!

Well, looking at all these posts makes me realise just how addictive this site is.
My name is Mandy, (my dad nicknamed me betty when I first started to develop - embarrasing or what) I have been married to DH for 13 years and have a DS11 and DD (11 today).
We are all Disney or should I say Florida addicts (there is just toooooooooo much to do) I must admit I am the worst, DH pretends not to be excited.
I am a nurse, working in A & E, although I have just applied for a job as a district nurse, fingers crossed - no more nights.
Anyway here's to long and happy dibbing.

Thanks for the welcome. Who am I? You'd think I would have figured that out, but I haven't. I'm 64, husband deceased after 35 yearsof marriage, (he died eight years ago) two grown children DD and DS. DS lives with me. DD lives about a mile away. Both are divorced, no children. We have pets. DD has two cats, DS has a wonderful mixed breed dog (12/13 years) who was a stray and is mostly malamute/husky. I have a tuxedo cat who adopted me two weeks after my husband died. This is so dull that I probably won't hear from you "kids".

Guess what? The cute little guy in the post above me? I am his honorary auntie! Mom is honorary Grammie! We met the Candygang in November but had to leave before the wedding. Maybe we can hook up for the Christmas trip in 2006.
So that is Auntie Brenda and Grammy Barbara to little Oli and also to Heather.
Oh...American type person who lives outside Atlanta, Georgia....

Welcome aboard Jules. I live about seven hours drive north of WDW, went in 1973 and have been three times in the last couple of years. Went Nov/Dec 2004 with DD who is your age. We had a wonderful time. We got to share some wonderful children that belonged to other people and like grandparents, then got to go back to our room. DS pet sat for us (he's 37) and will probably go on our next trip. Boarding fees are really expensive. Welcome to the DIBB.

Hi,
Sorry, I've been posting for a couple of weeks without noticing this thread so here's my intro:
Stuart (28) from Birmingham (UK), lives with (but not yet married to) Laura (22).
Been to WDW a couple of times when I was younger but not in the past 15 years. The reason for this trip is because I promised Laura that if she got over her fear of flying I would take her to swim with Dolphins.
Last summer she went on a tiny little plane to Jersey and she handled it just fine (after a small panic attack pre departure outbound). So if she can handle a small jet, a Virgin 747 in Premium Economy won't be a problem!
For me this trip is a chance to go back to my favourite place in the world. For L it's all about seeing past the borders of the UK (and swimming with the Dolphins at DC).
Less than 8 weeks now, can't wait!

welcome stuart
just a tip please let virgin know in advance of your ladies fear
they will treat her realy gently
when we first went with them i wrote to them in advance and told them i wasnt scared i was petryfied
they pre boarded us so we could take our time with out the normal crush when getting on
and kept checking if there was anything i needed during the flight
hope that helps

All about me.. lemme see now... Everynow and again this really tight white jacket is taken off me and I'm allowed on the puter! yeeeeha! My medication lets me function normally as you can all see! LOL! I have an irrepressible spirit that get's me into trouble alot... LOL! If there's a moony or a streak to be done I'm usually first in the line... Well I used to be until alot of my body slid southwards :( But what the heck.. I'm happy! I annoyingly wake up happy and go to bed happy and inbetween I'm usually a bubbling little brook of happiness! But mainly these are my qualities... I'm fiercely loyal to my Husband and family and friends, I have high morals about what is the right way to treat people and relationships and I don't cheat and never have and don't "Go there" with other peoples fella's. I do love to play and joke but that is ALL I will do. Now then ..nuff about me.. let's hear about you.. pulling up chair and putting elbows on table to listen...

Welcome aboard! Hmmm! Have we met in a previous life? They didn't put me in the tight white jacket, but they did show me the padded room. The medications? You call this normal? Beats what went on before. I would like my whole body to go south, about seven hours drive to WDW. The mooning and streaking attitude was beat out of me years ago, but much to my childrens' dismay (since Im 64) it's coming back. I think I, too, am fiercely loyal to family and friends until they do me dirty. Have been trying to figure out where the high moral code comes from because I'm not a religious person. Somebody out there may be able to help me that. How do you run the (computer) mouse with your elbows on the table?

Hello to everyone at DIBB. I'm so happy to have found a place to share my love of all things Disney. Have visited Disneyworld over 100 times. Have been lucky enough to have visited Disneyland several times too.
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.
Favorite show disneyworld- Hunchback of Notre Dame. Which by the way they need to bring back to us. Also at Animal Kingdom Tarzan does ROCK.
Also all the music at Epcot (Off Kilter & British Invansion) & the World Showcase Players are hilarious.
Fav rides- Haunted Mansion, RocknRollercoaster, Space Mountain, Tower Terror. Oh, its too hard to choose I give up!
Fav times to visit- Epcot Flower & Garden Show/Flower Power Concert Series & Wine & Cheese Fest / Eat to the Beat. Although it is insane the Soap Opera weekend is really fun too. Of course ANYTIME is a good time to visit Disney. DUH!
Fav eats - too many to mention but who can pass up those Dole Whips?
Anyone? How 'bout Main Street Bakery Cookie Sandwiches.
Fav Resort - have stayed at nearly all of them. Have a special fondness for Port Olreans Riverside (Dixie Landings). It is so beautiful & quite romantic really. Yacht Club, Dolphin, & Boardwalk Villas are gorgeous. Can't beat the convenience to Epcot & MGM. Whats not to love about those resorts.
Other obsessions - SURVIVOR WOO HOO! HBO's Six Feet Under, Dinner for Five, BBC America, Eastenders, General Hospital, The Office, Changing rooms & Ground Force .Just to name a few....
You can probably tell I also have an unhealthy love of t.v. Also LOVE movies.
My greatest love is travel. Wish I had enough money to travel as
much as I'd like, I'm sure you all feel the same. Don't ya think there should be a lottery where the prize is unlimited trips to disney? Not to mention all those other wonderful places in the world.
My job - Travel Industry. I do work for one of the major airlines. Life is tough for us right now. Our airline is making major cuts in pay, benefits & staff. I thought I'd be able to travel all the time, unfortunately can't afford to. Hope fuel costs go down so that we stay afloat. My office closes April 15th, 300 in my office lose jobs, including me.
Where is Home? - United States (Midwest) Chicago to be exact. What can I say? Just kidding, Chicago is a great town. Just ready for a change....
Hope to meet all of you real soon. I look forward to knowing you all.
Well thats me disneygurl...

Hi All
Sorry only just saw this thread and have been posting for a while but thought I would do it anyway.
I am Donna 25... currently work for an Airline which is fab as helps with my trips to Orlando. Am single and live with Friends.
Have been going to WDW with my family for about 15 years and still love it. I still go with my family but go over for weekends with friends.
Am off to try Disney in LA in a few weeks and cannot wait.
Have been with the airline for 4 years. Worked out in Lake Tahoe for 6 months as a holiday rep which was amazing. Before this I worked for haven Holiday and for anyone which has been...
" We're having fun in the Tiger Club"... loved that for the 2 years.
Well that is pretty much me... pretty boring I know

Been to WDW 3 times and going back in October with Mum, Dad, Brother & sister in law and Nephew (6) I have made a load of notes from the advise you have all posted as I want this trip to be perfect. If I am to be honest I feel under pressure to get everything right for the rest of the family as they have never been before, I am really excited but don't want them to think 'Oh it wasn't as good as you made it out to be!' (Although we all know it's better!!) Thanks again for everything:jump:

Hi I'm Sam (38) and I live with my DH (not actually married but you get the idea) Alan (41); my DS Nick (14) and his DS Craig (15). Complicated I know!
I am an IT analyst living Surrey, and DH is a warehouse manager. We have been together for 5 years now. We are origianlly from Gloucester but jobs moved us here in 2000.
I have visited the Mouse 3 times now, but I took DH to Florida for his first visit last October and he also fell in love with it. So much so I am now starting to plan again for next year!

Hi, I'm Chris, married to Justine with two terrific (sometimes) teenagers, Cherryle (19) and Mathew (17). I work for a telecommunications company, my wife is nursing, my daughter's at University and Mathew is doing A levels.
We've been to Disney twice before, in 2001 and 2004, and we are all looking forward to our next trip in about 6 weeks time (can't come quick enough!) Cherryle is 'Tigger' mad - so you can imagine how she feels about going to Disney. We are taking her boyfriend with us this year - he's never been to Disney before, so it will be nice to be reminded of how it feels to experience it all for the very first time - (it probably never really goes away!)
Mathew loves the thrill rides, I think Rock & Rollercoaster is his favourite, my wife loves the Buzz Lightyear Space ranger spin - and insists that it is the first ride we visit when we get there! (Only because she has the highest score each year)! I love all the Disney parks, but I think MGM's Tower of Tower is probably my favourite ride, oh and I love the days we spend in the water parks.
Very pleased to meet you all.
Chris

Hi! My name is Susan and I turned 40 last month:( I'm married to Cameron (43) and we have a son Fraser (10) and a daughter Eilidh (pronounced Hayley minus the "H" and is gaelic for Helen aged 7). We live in Aberdeen. Cameron and I spent our honeymoon in Florida and always said we would come back to Florida when we had kids so last October was our holiday of a lifetime when we spent 2 weeks in Orlando and 1 week in Clearwater. And we all loved it so much that we are having another holiday of a lifetime this October! This year we are having 2 weeks in Orlando and 1 in Ana Maria Island - I can't wait. Although we went to all the parks last year I feel we only scratched the surface so I am interested in reading all your hints and tips.
This looks like a friendly forum so I'm pleased I found it.

Tracey from London, i just joined to today, and i'm a frequent visitor to the Orlando forum on Trip Advisor, which is where i saw the link to this one. I just turned the big 3-0 in Dec, but am currently loving it. Suddenly you get this sense of freedom from what people think of you, well at least i did! *lol* I love Disney, and i also love Orlando in general. I've been to to a few other places in the USA and while i loved them, Orlando still has the number 1 spot in my heart, and i like to go over whenever possible, with whoever is willing to go with me! My next trip is in Sept, with a friend who has never been before, so i'm looking forward to showing her all the good stuff! I cannot wait, it's been far too long since my last trip last summer!
