Kennedy Space Centre

I reccomend that anyone going to Florida take a trip to Kennedy Space Center!! It is an amazing place to go, even if your intrested in space stations etc. or not!! I really enjoyed it. You go in and take a bus ride round the area, you end up at a small museum like place. Then you go back on the bus and go to the giant area where Apollo 7(i think)'s craft is sitting there. It is amazing just looking at it. Then you head back to the beggining and there is a small show on there sometimes with a former astronaut or something. Then there is a small cinema where you can watch the story of Apollo 7.

I really reccomend you head down there, its not a whole day trip. But still great fun and plenty to do. :D

I agree,IMO its one of those places you should visit at least once even if space travel isnt your thing.

We went in Nov 2000 and again in late April this year,both time being lucky enough to see a shuttle on the launch pad waiting for the off.
Even managed to see the last ever Titan rocket go up into space the day after our last visit.We watched it from the pool at our villa.

We loved our visit to KSC, we didnt go last time but we are going and have got our tickets for september . We are also hoping to take in a shuttle launch as it has a window between our dates.

Same as Catherine, we have never been to KSC even though we say we will each trip!!!
Presumably it will be closed the day they are launching the shuttle??? But we hope to see it anyway.

I have to agree that KSC is a fantastic day out. We also got to see a shuttle on the launch pad, what a sight! There is something there for everyone, I especially liked the rocket garden and there is a great gift shop. Only let down was the food, don't plan your main meal of the day there.
We saw a shuttle launch on our first trip, would love to repeat the experience, so fingers crossed for July.
