I think you'll be a bit pushed to do the Everglades in a day trip.

The Everglades National Park is a fair trek from Orlando,I would say about a 5 hour drive each way.
If its Central Florida Everglades that you are interested in,and in particularly an Airboat ride then check out the Boggy Creek website www.bcairboats.com

We have done the Boggy Creek Airboat Ride.
Really good way to spend the morning.
We enjoyed it.
Everglades really is a fair trek away and I would stay overnight somewhere if I was going to do it.

i did the everglades on a day trip from orlando, no problems!

we went to naples first, and had lunch on a boat whilst touring the millionaires homes, then went to the everglades. we did the airboat ride, a swamp buggy and toured the complex, then went for dinner at a restaurant on the beach, and watched the sunset. it was a long day, (6am till 11pm) but the coach was very comfortable and we made frequent rest stops. also, the driver also acted as a guide, pointing out things of interest on the trip, so the journey passed very quickly.

on that particular holiday we travelled with virgin, and booked it at their welcome meeting. airtours have it in this years brochure priced at £65 an adult £46 a child. we though it was great value, as it included the boat ride and lunch, the whole everglades experience and evening meal on the beach.
