It took us about 2.5 hours to drive to Naples along very straight and easy to drive roads. Can't help with Virgin's holiday homes as we stayed in a hotel.

Hi
Naples is one of our most favorite places we have not stayed with Virgin however, it will take aprox 2.5 - 3 hours depending on your route from Orlando I75 quickest. If you pick the 41 then expect to be held up by traffic & lights through Fort Myers.
Miami would be approx 1.5 hrs using Alligator Alley (Toll)

Naples at a push would be 3 hours, very easy drive.
Not stayed in any of the houses down there (hotel both times) but the area is beautiful. I suspect you will be inland a bit (probably near an inland waterway - very lovely) rather than on the beach because these places cost a fortune.
You will have a fantastic time down there - our favourite area of Florida:D

Naples is fantastic and one of our favourite places. We plan to buy there eventually. It is about 3 hours from Orlando and is an easy drive. Naples is very affluent and a lot of rich Amercians retire and also holiday here, prices reflect this. It is in an ideal location for exploring the whole area from the likes of Fort Myers (where you can get the ferry to Key West) to Sarasotta and down into the Everglades.
Some people never make it beyond the mouse and rollercoasters which is a shame as the rest of Florida has lots to offer.

Absolutely. That's part of the interest for us in Florida - getting out of Orlando and exploring all the other beautiful areas, from the beaches to the nature parks.
Come on countdown, go quicker:p:

Just to add i loved Naples its a lovely chill after Orlando and still has somethings to do. Cant help with houses as we stayed in a Hotel on Highway 41 (I think) and it was pretty central to everything.
If you do go there i'm sure you will enjoy
I love Naples - we stay at the Vanderbilt Inn.
Lovely to watch the sunsets.
Great place to relax after Disney!
