let the daughter play for a while in ,if i ran the zoo,
before heading back to hotel.

1st july: relax at the pool all day maybe takein fireworks.

2nd july: head to sea world and hopefully do all the rides and shows and have lunch in the sand bar.
considered the shamu dinner but daughter would be an adult price and looked at the menu and she probably wouldnt eat anything ,so would be paying for her to sit and watch the whales.

3rd july: relax at pool and take in rides we want to do again at U.S and I.O.A then maybe have dinner in hotel.

4th july: discovery cove

5th july: spend morning in I.O.A before moving hotels to POFQ
then head to typhoon lagoon for the rest of the day.

6th july: can not actually plan disney parks as my wife does not be very well at times. so will make use of the EMH. best about being on site is i can take my wife back to the hotel if she is not to well or she can stay at the pool and i can take the daughter to the parks, this was the main reason for booking on site.
hoipefully will be able to do all the rides and shows between the 6th july and 19th july, and will do at least 1 character dinner, and have a few days shoping in between, have a friend either coming up from tampa or we will meet him down there if we decide to go to clearwater.

any input for places to eat in and around idrive area welcomed

I think your Universal days are a bit too regimented. Trying to do everything and in that order is, I'm afraid, doomed to failure, blisters and falling out with your loved ones!

Received wisdom is IOA is better tackled in an anti clockwise direction, having perhaps picked up an express pass for Spiderman or Hulk first. Hitting Dueling Dragons early is also a good idea - you've at least some chance of riding both dragons before it gets too busy. Then keep an eye on the wait times (there are boards in a couple of places round the park). You can't avoid back-tracking around if you want to avoid lengthy waits.

I don't know anyone who has ridden Pteranodon Fliers - the lines have always been in excess of 45 minutes when I've been there, even on days when Spiderman is a walk on!! Usually it's 90!

Also some of the shows you have picked have only 4 or 5 showings in a day - they won't fit into your one-way schedule.

Is your DD a thrill ride fanatic? At 10 my DS and niece were too scared on some of the rides - usually the dark and scary ones rather than the coaster type rides.

I think your plan of going back twice more is a sound one - it takes the pressure off your first days when you are likely to be feeling a bit jet lagged and unaccustomed to the heat.

You will have a wonderful time - wish I was going next week!!

:jump: :jump: :D

hi,edie-w
i am staying at Royal Pacific Resort, i believe that you show your room key and you bypass the queues,so hopefully queues won`t matter to much
my daughter wont do all the coasters, but the dark scary ones she loves, going anti clockwise, i think i read that before ,so maybe try that.
thanks for the info, and i wish i had the money to go this year as well

Rather than trying to do everything in a set order, I would prioritise a bit and divide the list into 'must do'; 'do if possible' and 'not bothered but do if time allows' kind of categories. If you then head for the 'must do' attractions first you won't come away disappointed.
You can catch any you miss or want to do again on the second visit.
