OK as September hours have now been released I thought it was about time we did the first attempt at our itinerary.
To give you a bit of background our party consists of:
DM, DF, Dsis (22) – Flying out 1 – 15 September – They will fit in with our plans as they can’t be bothered with all this advanced planning nonsense (thanks dad!) but have all been to Orlando before.
Then there is us! – Flying out 3 – 17 September – Our merry group consists of – Me (29) Chief planner and worrier extraordinaire!, DH (30) Will sit and try to look interested when I go over the benefits of planning, but still can’t accept that we have to do some Disney parks, as opposed to 2 weeks in Universal!. Both myself and DH have done Disney many times before with our last visit being only 10mths ago! DFriend1 (Paul – 3?), DFriend2 (Another Paul 3?) both of which have never been to Orlando and apparently this is their first and only visit (didn’t we all say that though!) so there brief was to see EVERYTHING!
We are all staying in two separate houses on Highlands Reserve, and a word of warning we are not great at pre-planning meals as we tend to play it by ear dependant on what everyone fancies but we do have a VERY comprehensive list of restaurants to choose from!
Saturday 3rd – Arrive Sanford 4.15pm so just some shopping on the way to the Villa, TGI’s for dinner and a light swim (i.e. sit in the hot tub) before bed.
Sunday 4th – Up early breakfast on route, and off to Animal Kingdom for the day.
Monday 5th – DF’s B-Day so not quite sure on this one so either a Waterpark or Clearwater for the day followed off by a nice birthday sing song at Jellyrolls. :D
Tuesday 6th – IOA (we are always out of this park by about 1pm as we tend just to hit this park for the rides) Evening Illuminations Cruise (Quick Dibb meet with Momofffthree before boarding). :jump:
Wednesday 7th – Seaworld (Oh how I look forward to my DH’s Shamu impressions in the pool for the next two weeks!)
Thursday 8th – Segway Tour at Epcot, then remainder of day at Epcot.
Friday 9th – Universal (We ain’t scared of Rock the Universe as we’ll be long gone before 4pm!)
Saturday 10th – Possibility Clearwater if not already done, if done shopping, waterpark?
Sunday 11th – Brunch at Renaissance and if still standing:blush: some shopping.
Monday 12th – The big one – Magic Kingdom (both Spectro and Wishes running!)
Tuesday 13th – MGM with Fantasmic PS at the Brown Derby
Wednesday 14th – Backtrack through both Universals with Cirque in the evening.
Thursday 15th – Wave goodbye to half of our party, and us remaining lot will start re-visiting parks that we want to do again and more shopping.
Friday 16th – Park re-visits / shopping etc.. Old town in the evening (Not my choice but you have to make one or two compromises when you’re travelling with two car nuts!)
Saturday 17th – Early check in at LBV then off to Disney Quest, a quick visit to the Cheesecake Factory before we head back on the lonely road to Sanford!
Sunday 18th – Ponder as to why these two weeks are always the quickest of mine and DH’s lives whilst we make the long and painful drive back from Gatwick (Oh how I love the M25!)
Monday 19th – Try to explain to the Bank Manager that these trips and expenses are invaluable to my health!!!
Any comments, suggestions etc. more than welcome (as I said chief worrier!)
Becky
