We stayed there in march this year not luxury think travel lodge staff were great free bus to all the parks though did not use them ourselves plenty of restarents nearby and supermarket across the road a great location this was our first visit to orlando and made a great base for our holiday
yes, stayed there three weeks ago agree with all of the above also has a basic complementary breakfast cerealjuice toast pastries and tea or coffee. very near to the parks if you use the sherbeth road. just posted on another thread that we managed to get it at £16 a night so going back again in october!
what were the rooms like and what shops are nearby?
also do you know how long from santon airport
the rooms were basic two double beds with bath and showere separate vanity wash area. they have coffee makers with daily top up also iron and ironing board. the cleaning serveice for the room was verey good and the beds very comfortable. the air conditioning is quiet no sudden booming into life which wakes you up! they are motel type rooms which you enter from an outside walkway but can use opposite railings as balcony to dry things. very quiet no obvious tour groups! 1hr from sanford
thanks it sounds fine where did you get £17 a night from as my mom was considering coming now after we hav already booked ours, also is it true you can see into animal kingdom and some of the fireworks from some rooms also is thrie a alligator in lake my son is hoping for one
thanks for all your time
suzanne
h,best@at travel.co.uk and easyclicktravel.com both have £17 rate including all taxes.i know that animal ingdom is just down the back road,i dont think you can see in also the fireworks are at magic king dom and epcot a bit away you can hear them but i'm not sure you can see them.some one else might have the answers. no alligators in the lake-baby ones in the land ride at epcot or on a trip to boggy creek air boat ride you should see some - they have been spotted in magic kindom waters!!
thanks for that will hav a look and see, did you rent a car when you were there i am just looking into this at moment looking at alamo

I've just booked a holiday to here myself
for 2 people, 18th September from Newcastle, with First Choice
I removed the car from the option.....so the flight and the hotel in total for the 2 weeks 675 (errr or was it 685 - give or take a few quid anyways) can't go wrong for that!!!
oddly though, to have a fridge in the room as 600quid more!!!! told them I'll just buy one and leave it in there :)
then I've ordered the car hire and tickets direct from other sites - much cheaper (first choice were after 350quid for platinum cover with an economy car....can get the same for 233quid at yescarhire - just deciding whether to treat myself to a convertable now :D for the same 350
we found out that car hire is cheaper too elsewhere, did you just tell them you didn't want the car hire, but they don't take anything off the price do they? we're paying £1400 for 2 kids and 2 ad in nov also i've found off here uscarhire.co.uk do it for £189 for 2 wks
we were quoted £500 more for fridge too, forget that!!!

well the website itself for online booking, has an option to "change/upgrade" car insurance.
when you went onto it there was the various options for insurance and car types....the right column however was saying "car only" basically implying you get your own insurance.....there was no exact box specifically saying Dont Take The Car....but when you choose it it took about 350 off the original price....however it popped up a big warning box about needing insurance etc... so I thought I best call them - the women was helpful on the phone - even took a look out of curiousity with the website, and couldn't understand why it didn't have a No Car option - but I booked it over the phone with her for the same net price and thereby making sure I had no car forced on me with them :) I did find that airtours I think it was were offering the same resort for considerably more money, whether it was a slightly better room in there or not to be honest I do not know
hi
we did hire a car from yes car hire which was the least expensive at the time £208 for 14 nights, re the fridge we bought a coleman cool box which works off 12v also mains - ideal if you wanto go out for the day or to take to water parks. before coming home we bought an us/uk adaptor and brought the whole lot home with us and use it frequently when out and about. coolbox and adaptor available at walmart!

I'm sure my parents have a good few us/uk plug adapters so I'll prob pinch some off them :)
how much roughly was the coolbox if you remember? and by 12v is that a particular type battery or one of them in-car power outlets kinda like a cig lighter :)
hi,
$68 dollars including the leads, yes it is the 12v car outlet thingy.bit pricey but you get to use it forever rather than leaving things behind. if you go to the walmart website and look in the sports section they have a picture and description.
hi midnight,
should have said converter not adaptor was looking through the thread to see when you were going in sept(same time as us but were going from gatwick} and realized what i said and what i meant were not the same thing!!
