View Full Version : Has anybody bought Themepark Tickets on E-Bay

The reason I ask is that I have a friend who has recently bought his Disney tickets plus a couple of Flixitickets on e-bay saving himself about £150 in total compared to the 'average' selling prices.
I have now got him panicking by informing him that it is easy to forge anything these days no matter how authentic they look.
Has anybody ever heard of anybody being sold forged Themepark tickets.
By the way the e-bay seller apparently has hundreds of positive comments and had a Disney invoice as proof of authenticity so he is likely to be genuine but you never know.
Any thoughts.............:confused2

The only thing I would say how would you know they haven't been used? I must say I wouldn't buy my tickets on E-bay but hopefully they will be ok.

I personally wouldn't buy my tickets from anyone that wasn't an authorised agent, but I am sure that there are sellers that have bought tickets for whatever reason and have not been able to use them, and they did have excellent feedback..
That said your friend will not find out for sure until they are at WDW. You cannot check a ticket anywhere but WDW.

I wouldn't do it. Usually, the actual prices paid are still ridiculous considering the risk one is taking.
He will be able to tell when he gets to WDW. In the meantime any stress or worry is the cost of saving £150. (If indeed that really was the true saving)

We recently used tickets in Disney and the water parks that were purchased earlier in the year on Ebay.
We made sure that the sellers had a good record and admit we were anxious untill we were able to use them.
We would certainly purchase again from ebay without hessitation.

No definately buy them from an ABTA bonded or licensed agent. Therefore you know that you can have trust in them. E-bay is good, but don't buy expensive theme park tix. It would be really disappointing if you travelled out there and had a problem. I would shop around because you can get some really good deals, which I am sure some dibbers can offer advise on. I could have got short stay passes from work but was going for 2 weeks so I got mine from best4attractions and got some planet hollywood meal vouchers thrown in!!
