View Full Version : Cirque Tix. What a palaver!
Tried to book tickets through Disney Site today. Got to the end then their website went down. Not sure if tickets booked or not, so rang, put on hold for ten minutes. Rang off. Rang later put on hold for 5 minutes then got a CM. She took my name then kept me on the line through three songs (including a rap version of it's a small world!:( ). She came back on to take my name again:confused: .I hung on for two more songs at this rate the phone call was going to cost as much as the tickets:eek: .
She finally told me that they had no record of my booking and would I like to go ahead. Why not?
My diction is not bad and the line was clear but I had to spell every element of my name and address (even had to spell road:confused: ). I wanted to collect my tickets but could not as my booking is in excess of 30 days so having them delivered (Extra $$).
Anyway after at least 20 minutes she finally read my booking back to me, for the 6.00pm show. She had never asked me which show I wanted. I said I needed the 9.00pm show. At first she said thatI would be charged for both shows and "probably" credited for one!!.
Then after keeping me hanging on for a further 5 minutes she informed me that the tickets were non refundable and that I had bought the early show. I explained the early show didn't suit because of other plans for that day. To no avail. Now I have to reschedule that entire day and probably the days before and after.
I had no days in my plan for really early park finishes because of the relatively short park hours. Now we need to be in our digs by 3.30 to get everyone organised for showtime.
So beware:(

I'm amazed Ken!!
I booked mine through the Cirque site direct, smooth process allocated superb seats and had the tickets within a week?????????
Hi Sue.
just unlucky I guess.
After just looking at my scribbles and the seating plan I have much worse seats than I had been allocated before the site went down. Way to the side of the stage and three rows back in the second section.

You have 103 days Ken, I'd be tempted to complain!!! and get it sorted before you go. When we have had occasion to complain to Disney before they have been brilliant in response - do it in writing in an e-mail via the link in the menu on the home page here or try wdw.guest.services@disneyworld.com - put your telephone number on and state your complaint/problem, I can almost guarantee they will ring you within 24 hours to discuss and put right. Try it, what have you got to lose??

Hi Ken
I've just had the same experience and I feel like crying.
I have been trying to buy these tickets for the last three days and I've got as far as the Check Availabilty page and then got the message that they are having technical difficulties with their site and please contact Webmaster. Having read your thread I tried once more and this time got as far as the Confirm Booking page. I clicked on Place Order, got a white page telling me to wait for instructions (or words to that effect) and then it defaulted into the page with all the prices and the technical difficulties message. Like you I don't know if I have booked or not and I don't want to start the process in case I end up paying twice for non-refundable seats.
I emailed Webmaster (which won't do much good as I emailed a couple of days ago to no avail) I also used a link on the page which went into wdw.ticket.enquiries@disneyworld.com Great, thinks I and emailed them. I got a Mailer Daemon response.
I don't want to phone unless I really have to so I will email Guest Services as suggested and see what they have to say. Fingers crossed

*sob sob*
I've just got a Mailer Daemon message on foot of the email I sent to Guest Services
Hi Honeylamb
I Phoned 001 407 939 7719 and I don't think it was the Cirque box office. Maybe it was customer relations. so if you have to phone maybe someone here has the direct number?
If you do phone make sure you stipulate all your criteria like the time of show and whether you have any under 10s in your party.
I am now begining to wonder (as the CM assumed I wanted the 6.00 show) if I'm also booked for for the later one as well! Will ring my Credit Card provider Monday to make sure.
I may take Petalsoftly's advice yet and complain, but maybe not as there is a plus side for us to go to the early show. We could do Seaworld that day and be 'home,' ready, and at Cirque in plenty of time. Then we'll round off the evening with a good dinner somewhere.

Thank you, Ken, for your reply (and you too, highlander - but as I live in Ireland I don't know if it would work)
Before your reply I tried the number on the La Nouba site and got one of those annoying "If you want X press 1, if you want Y press 2..." responses. It then asked me for my ten digit phone number. I don't have a ten digit phone number and so I gave up. :(
I then navigated this site and found a similar number to the one you posted 407- 939-7913. I can't remember what I got through to but it was sorted in 15 seconds without hanging on to endless music. The lady was able to confirm that the tickets are held and to give my my confirmation number. It hasn't cleared my credit card yet (which is no doubt in meltdown at this stage) but she advised me to check with my provider or with her as to whether or not it cleared.
At least it was a good result and I would have been stuck but for you posting your experience and getting the benefit of everyone's wisdom - so thanks again
As far as you are concerned - it could be worse. You could have turned up for the 9:00 show not realising you had missed the one you were booked for

(including a rap version of it's a small world! ).
This is worth complaint on its own Ken.
Make a complaint Ken, I think bad service needs to be highlighted.
How could they book your tickets and not ask you what show you wanted:angry:
I do hope you both get this sorted out:rolleyes:

If you are phoning the UK (don't know if Ireland is the same) from the USA you always drop the first zero off the area code ..so without this it is the 10 digit code..
(01234) 567890 would be 1234567890 :D
hope you all get it sorted seems like a right Palava..

honeylamb - i am from n. ireland and i use "onetel" for my international phone calls. it is about 3 or 4p per minute to america and there is no connection fee. you need to phone and register with them and you are set up to use 24hrs later. they give you a code to put in in front of the international code and number and your phone call goes through onetel and not your other phone company you are with. you don't need to pay anything for line rental etc. check the website and see if you can get it in your area.
