View Full Version : Stitch's Great Escape at Magic Kingdom
For those that have done this recent addition to the Magic Kingdom.
What did you think of Stitch's Great Escape?
Lol,Can we have a poll?:D
Personally I thought it was rubbish after all the hype (pretty gross as well in parts)
DD (8) thought it was hilarious and DS (15) thought it was OK/alright (but that was his standard response to everything :( )

I have not done it as it had not opened when we were there last October.
I loved Alien Encounter though, and would find it hard to imagine anything better.
Looking forward to trying it out next year.

  Got to be one of the most boring rides at Disney:zzz:
It actually has some excellent animatronics in the pre show area .. but OMG.. this has to be one of the worst rehabs, new attraction efforts ever concieved by an immagineer..
Poor Stitch, he really deserved so much more....
I don't think it lived up to the hype personally, but sitting there in the dark I could hear the delighted giggles of some younger children in the arena and got more of a buzz out of listening to their obvious enjoyment! :p:
It was raining on the day we went to MK and so we walked on to this attraction, but if I'd queued for any length of time I feel I'd have been sorely disappointed in it.

DH & DF thought it was a complete waste of time (Hubby has done Alien Encounter - father hadn't)

I didn't quite get it...kept waiting for something to happen. DH didn't pull the restraint down so nothing at all heappened to him..but the kids, who watch Lilo and Stitch thought it was ok, and said that you have to be familiar with the character to appreciate the experience.

Absolute rubbish! As has been said earlier, we all sat waiting for something to happen and nothing did! The children DS 8 & DD's both 6 found the 'smelly bit' when Stitch did a 'you know what' marginally funny - but thats it - complete waste of time. If you havn't done it and there was no queue then go and see just how dire it is!!

Several kids seemed to be absolutely terrified on our 'ride'. A CM came and took one of them out.
DH and DS (then 7) did it last November. Neither of them liked it and DS has asked that we don't bother with it this year.
Highly disappointing

It was better as 'Alien Encounter'!!!
I made the mistake of leaning forward as the shoulder restraint came down - then had to sit in a hunched position for the duration, not that it detracted from the ride- there was nothing to detract from ! sons 6 & 8 were still waiting for it to start when it finished !!

Pants! 7,10 and 12 hated it. Dull.
One word - boring!! Alien Encounter was amazing. They need to sort this ride out.

Complete rubbish, don't go near if you have sunburn on your shoulders, it really hurts when Stitch jumps on you. A waste of time IMHO even if you like Stitch. We had more fun meeting him at Typhoon Lagoon.

Alien was far better! We won't bother to visit Stitch on our next trip.
HINT:- If you do go.......sit up as tall as you can when the shoulder harness comes down, it will lock in place leaving you a little wiggle room :)
