Mnsshp is great fun. If you're unsure there should be tickets available for a night during your stay. Look here for more info too http://allearsnet.com/tp/mk/mnssh4.htm

Hi,
You'd be best to book your tickets before you go I guess, as it could sell out and there is no real advantage in waiting until you get there as the price is the same. In fact, if you wait and pay at the gate on the night I'm sure they charge extra.
As far as your child being scared is concerned, it really is "not-so-scary". There is a Disney "villians" float in the parade which may possibly frighten him, but you'd just have to distract him for a few minutes until it passed...

It is a few dollars more to pay as a walk up.

Definitely get the tickets before you go! It certainly is not scary - it is more 'spooky' if you know what I mean! - the Haunted Mansion for example has me looking behind me at every step!! But in general everything is aimed towards kids. Everyone gets dressed up (even adults!) but it doesnt have to be halloween outfits. I was a cowgirl last year!!!! it really is worth it - we have been the last few years running and last year we went on 31 October which was 'sold out' - they do limited the number of tickets but it is much quieter than a 'normal' day. We rode Splash Mountain 4x in a row! On entry every member of the party is given a wrist band and a trick or treat bag. My kids were still eating the treats a week later! OMG this is spooky - a coat has just fallen in the cupboard beside me and given me the fright of my life, just as I type this!!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
