Definately book ahead, Boma is very popular. We had booked for breakfast there which was lovely, but we couldn't get a reservation for dinner during our stay as it was all booked up. I'd book now if I was you.

I can reccomend the breakfast and a good tip is to get there very early as this place can get very busy and a bit hectic.
We had a supurb breakfast at about 7.30 am and it was nice and quite and we had 2 servers for our table of 6 then a look round the hotel it was extremely good value only regret is that I wish I had booked more than 1 breakfast

Absolutely superb place for dinner and I say that as a veggie who had a restricted choice compared to that which you are likely to enjoy (making an assumption you're not veggie)!
The range of food is superb and the desserts are truly exceptional and I don't have much of a sweet tooth.
I'd suggest booking to make sure you can get in and get there early to enjoy the resort if you haven't been to the Animal Kingdon before. There was a nice bar where we had a couple of pre-dinner drinks.

For Anniversary I'd go for Jiko's instead.

I can honestly say that Bomas was a huge disappointment, but thats just me talking, as the kids enjoyed it. :D
