We went to one on the 192 and it was a Sunday and the price was $6.99 for the breakfast buffet! We thought it was rather pricey as we had seen it at $3.99 4 years previously

The price of the dinner buffet at Golden Coral is $10.99 plus
drink although most coupon books offer a 10% discount and
some offer a $ 8.99 buffet.Breakfast buffet is $ 6.99 but this
includes orange juice and coffee. The $ 3.99 buffet mentioned
applies to Ponderosa, but excludes drinks, and the golden corral
offers a much better selection.

It may be pricey at $6.99 but is well worth it, especially for the omlette station. Also as mentioned the OJ and coffee are included.
I would pay the $10.99 for the dinner buffet just so I can have the bannana dessert:blush:

I love the Golden Corral - such choice, both at Breakfast and Dinner - and as Hellie mentioned, the omlette station (where you can have an omlette made for you as you wait) is great! Can't think of anything that wasn't on the buffet (apart from English sausages and bacon, as my DBf CONTINOUSLY mentioned, lol)

Its cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. Personaly I didn't enjoy the evening menu but the Breakfast buffet is great!

There are plenty of 50cents off coupons for the Golden Coral breakfast buffet & one coupon book (can't remember which!!) has a coupon giving you the breakfast for $5.99. With this coupon, and bearing in mind that drinks are included, the GC breakfast buffet is only about 50cents more than the Ponderosa.
The main difference in choice that we noticed a few weeks ago was in the egg dept. - they actually had fried eggs at the GC!!

golden corrals appear to have gone downhill. the last time we went it appeared grubby and neglected. there was food all over the floorand the tables and the counters where the food was kept hadn't been wiped for a long time!
Went to two of the all-you-can-eat buffet places for breakfast on the last trip - I think one was Golden Corral - can't remember the other one.
One of them I found quite bright and cheery and enjoyed, the other was quite depressing - full of Brits who seemed to be only there because it was cheap and no other reason. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I didn't feel an air of people enjoying themselves and their food.
Although, thinking back, I think it was raining that day so maybe that was getting everybody down!

We went to Golden Corral at Marriot Village a couple of weeks ago and we wished we had stayed at the hotel for the free breakfast!!
The waitress just couldn't be bothered and everything seemed an effort and also the food was cold and nobody was there to make an omelette for you, she was too busy with the waitress!!!(if you know what I mean!!).
Have to admit that the sausages were nice though.

We did breakfast here several times here on our last trip, we loved the selection, it is cheap and cheerful but hey the selection is just great Great value for money, we will be going again in September. We wouldnt go for the evening though, not that i am asnob but i prefer to be served, we tend to go to Black Angus on the 192, outback and places like these.

We discovered GC on our last trip in September. Thought it was great, especially the selection of hot foods and cakes.
Only had the dinner buffet, not tried the breakfasts yet. It's planned as our 1st port of call for food this year.
