DIY Port Aventura

OK, looked at trying to do Port Aventura for a week in October, DIY. 13th to 20th Oct

EasyJet Edinburgh (09:30) to Luton (10:50)

Ryanair Luton (13:40) to Reus (16:55)

Return Reus (17:20) to Luton (18:35)

Luton (21:00) to Edinburgh (22:15)

Flights total £364

El Paso for the week 1002 Euros about £700

so a week in Port Aventura for approx £1000. The other way is a package from Glasgow with no connections but more cost.

The DIY way seems a bit of a journey but would be an adventure.

Any thoughts anybody ?

Just done a search on First Choice for you and its coming up at £1084 for 2 adults flying on the 11th oct for 1 week.

my only concern with connections on easyjet is what happens if the flight into Luton is delayed? Would you lose the 2nd leg, I have a feeling you will. If you book connection flights with a normal airline they will put you on the next available plane, but I am not so sure about EasyJet.

We stayed half board at the Salauris Palace and it was fantastic. Fabulous hotel, a short walk from the park and fantastic food. Really cheap and excellent value for money. Website showing 374 euros for week half board. We went with Airtours and were £510 for a week last October including flights so you could have a look in their brochure to see it. Website is H10.es

Only thing which we noticed was that there were a lot of parties of older Spanish people there but the only time we saw them was at the breakfast and dinner buffet.

Wouldn't look past it if I were going again.

Thanks everyone, sorry forgot to say 2 adults and a 13yr old, which will probably mean 3 adults. The earliest I could fly is 13th as its the start of school hols, well they actually start 15th but wouldn't mind her being off a couple of days.
