As we are thinking about annual passes, it might be a good idea to visit DLP at Christmas time as we have never done a Disney Christmas experience.......(can get flights and Holiday inn accom for 3 nights 17th- 20th December for £460 for 4) BUT....we all hate the really cold weather, but think if it is only for 2 days ( and Christmas is supposed to be cold) then we could possibly cope.
I do want it to be enjoyabe rather than a test of endurance, and was wondeirng if we are talking colder than the UK or about the same. Does it freeze or snow or anything horrible like that!

When we were there a couple of Decembers ago....it was bitterly cold at night....but gorgeous sunny days with blue skys...it always seemed to be freezing fog at night....it's a fantastic time to visit for a Disney fix....i'm trying to convince my DH that a DLP trips needed in December.....just wrap up warm and enjoy the magical Disney Christmas

It's hit and miss, we have been in December for so long now, I can''t remember not going lets put it that way. We take layers, as it has been bitterly cold especially when waiting for the parades etc, and I always take snow jackets and snow/padded trousers for the kids, and change of footwear, as nothing worse than soggy feet, ie trainers. The last two trips have actually been quite mild and we did not need to wrap up so much, the main problem has been rain. Again, we only had one wet day and have been very lucky. I would recommend anytime during the first two weeks of December as you can just walk on the rides, who needs fastpass! and the xmas decorations are so lovely. I'm still trying to convince the family to try Halloween, so far they are all saying they only want to go in December again!!

We are stuck to the school hols I'm afraid to say, and we are already going to the Halloween party...it just seems silly to get an annual pass and not make full use of it...which would obviously include a Christmas trip!

we went November 13th a few years ago and it was freezing. Probably no colder than here, but how often do you spend the entire day outside when you are at home? We wore thermals and ski socks etc and where ok, but think layers and be prepared for anything. I love going for christmas when it's actually cold, it feels much more christmassy than florida

We have been many times at christmas and it is always fairly cold. I think it is in a valley so the wind whips through and keeps it really quite bitter.
But as its christmas and disney go to the trouble of fake snow and stuff. It atually feels right.
As everybody has said warm clothes in Layers and keep moving. Also stopping one of the cafe places on main street for hot chocolate with cream seems to help :D

We took our dd when she was 10 months old and she was fine. Christmas to us is DLP, they go hand in hand. Don't think it would be quite the same as florida. Too warm

It's fine as long as it doesn't rain and then you do really feel the cold with that wind!

Pretty much the same as South London, anywhere from -10°C to +15°C

We went in February(a few years ago) and it was -11 and it was freezing, but we wrapped up warm amd just kept going for coffee every couple of hours, we still had a great time even though it was so cold.

In a way I would love to do this....sometimes I think Christmas has lost some of the magic here as it no longer snows and can be quite mild...so perhaps a couple of days in DLP would inject a bit of magic back into Christmas for me. I would certainly have to sort Christmas out at home before we went though, as I am usually a last minute person!

Flights with easyjet booked in advance can be as little as £50 per person return, then rooms at the Holiday Inn for about £70 per night for the 4 of us (plus by then we will have annual passes so that will be paid for). At these prices it's silly not too really! Just got to wait for DH to get leave from work and then I think I'll book it!
