We are going to DLP on Tuesday and I'm wondering about getting a taxi frmo CDG airport. We got the shuttle last time and it took nearly 2 hours, so I'd rather not do that again.

The DLPinfo website says a taxi is 45 Euros, and the shuttle would be 39.50 for the 4 of us, does anyone know if 45 Euros is still right? I don't know how up to date that info is.

Thanks
Bev

I have visited DLP 3 times previously flying in with easy jet to terminal 3 all times we have got a taxi and i think it cost 60 euros it worked out slightly dearer than paying for the shuttle for 2 adults and 2 children. Sometimes there are private people which are licensed as taxis offering there services and they will give you a good price, there is also a taxi rank outside terminal 3 they once gave us a higher price but because we knew how much it should be we told him that we only normally paid 60 euros and he agreed to this. So don't let them rip you off!! It is much easier to get a taxi and only takes 40 mins.

On the shuttle it would have cost us 51 euros so for the extra 10 euros its not worth bothering with the shuttle.

Any more questions please ask

If it fits in with your timimngs you could get the TGV instead. This takes 11 minutes journey time!!!

I am tempted by the TGV but don't speak French (at all) and am quite intimidated by the whole process. I don't want to end up on the wrong train and find myself in Germany (or worse back in London!)

Ian, where do you get the TGV tickets and the train from and which station do you aim for..I take it is not the same as the RER system, but do you still get a ticket to Marne la Vallee (the DLRP station) Thanks

You have to get tickets for "Airport CDG 2 TGV" to "Marne La Vallee Chessy SNCF".

You can book tickets online here (http://www.raileurope.co.uk/) or at http://www.sncf.fr and then click on the Union Flag for English

It only stops at Terminal 2, so you may need to swap terminals, but ther is a free bus service from each of the terminals. Don't worry if you miss your train, just tell the person at the ticket desk and they will swap them for the next train. The tickets are very rarely checked as the journey time is only 9 - 11 minutes!!

Just beware that there is often an hour between trains and sometime more, so just make sure it fits in with your flights OK. If you choose the right tickets, it is cheaper than the VEA though!!

What am I doing wrong? I have gone to the site and followed the instructions given in the post and I can't get anything to come up for October. Am I doing something obviously wrong?

Help!
