Places to stay in Southampton or Portsmouth area

Does anyone know of any hotels or B&Bs in the Southampton/Portsmouth or New Forest areas that don't cost a fortune? we are down that way next week end and were looking to stay down there?

What sort of place are you looking for? In Southampton or the New Forest? And price range?

If you can give me a few more details there's loads of hotels in the area and I'll see what I can find out. :)

A family place - 2 Adults and 3 children, be nice if I could find en-suite facilities and perhaps breakfast - about £60 - £70 per night.

You can find some cheap hotels here in Bournemouth, but being a Bank Holiday they might be quite busy.

There is a Novotel and an Ibis in the centre of Southampton around those prices, both of which I would imagine would do family rooms and be ensuite.

There is also a Holiday Inn in the centre of Southampton, not sure of their prices though.

Even though there are loads of lovely hotels near me bordering and in the New Forest I reckon they will be too expensive. Central Southampton to the New Forest is only 15/20 minutes easy drive.
