Hi,
Legoland is good for pre-schoolers really - older than that and they may be bored with "tame" rides.
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Windsor and it was really nice. We really enjoyed it but it was very busy, and I didn;t like the long journey down there. I think its one of the best theme parks for young kids that we have in england anyway, clean and tidy good shows and not full of teens.

Check out the Premier Travel Inn and Travellodge website, there are several within a few miles of Legoland - we stayed in Bracknell last year and some friends stayed in Slough earlier this year! Both are the basic Travel Inn/lodge offerings - family room with a doublee and two 'pull out' beds for the kids - but at £50-£60 for all four of you, it's pretty good value!:D

We just got back yesterday :)
Stayed at Crowne Plaza Heathrow - took about 20 mins to get to Legoland.
2 adults, 2 children, bed & buffet breakfast, car parking & 2 day legland tickets for £210. Worth every penny imo - my DDs (4 & 8) absolutely loved it !! :jump:
