Hi there, we stayed at the Santa Fe just last week. I have pasted below my Tripadvisor review - posted on TA with piccies.

Also stayed at the Cheyenne and would say that for the extra few quid the hotel is a little better and feels more 'Disneyish'.

Hope my report helps?

Happy plannind

We have just returned from a great trip to Disneyland Paris 4th to 6th Aug 2005. We travelled on the Eurostar directly to the Disneyland resort and were door to door in less than 3 hrs from Waterloo. The Marne Le Vallee station is in the heart of the resort and buses for the Disney hotels await just a few steps away.

We were staying at the Santa Fe which is at the budget end of the Disney accommodation. The hotel is based on a Mexican theme and the accommodation is set out in ‘pueblos’. The rooms are in blocks and painted various shades of salmon pink and are grouped in around small barren courtyards. The landscaped areas looked a little tired and dull, not the prettiest of places.

We went to check-in and found the Reception area to be quite large with a separate Information Desk. Pluto was greeting guests as we arrived which was nice for the kids. The Reception staff were friendly and all spoke English very well. We collected our park tickets and hotel information and a discount coupon for the restaurant if we dined there that evening. We were also given a card to hand in at breakfast time, giving an allotted arrival time. Having stayed at The Cheyenne before, we knew how the system worked – you just turned up at the time stated. We were given 07h00 which was rather disappointing. I asked the Receptionist if we could have a later time and he said it would be no problem to turn up an hour later if we wished. Happy with that, we took the stroll out to our room.

Our room was located in the ’Trail of Water’ area on the ground floor and was small, basic, clean and adequate. There were 2 double beds, TV, phone, mirror and a large chest of drawers in the main bedroom area. The en-suite bathroom was quite small and equipped with bath/shower, toilet and a large mirror with shaving socket. The only complimentary toiletries were two bars of soap – so make sure you bring shampoo etc. Opposite the bathroom there was hanging space and a luggage rack.

We noted that that there were no tea/coffee making facilities, fridge or iron and only 1 plug socket accessible. The room was bright with 2 large windows and the curtains definitely kept the light out in the morning. Unfortunately, the windows only opened about 5 inches – which was probably due to security as we were ground floor. There was NO aircon at all; however, there is a large ceiling fan. The fan only operated at one speed and was so noisy we could not put it on at bed time. Luckily, the weather during our stay was not too hot (around 25 degrees). Having no aircon may be an issue if it was hotter though.

Breakfast: self-service in the huge ‘La Cantina’ restaurant was continental buffet style. There was a basic but plentiful choice of croissants, rolls, cheese, ham, cereal, yogurt etc. You take a tray and help yourself, but there is one thing to note though – there are no plates! The ham is served on a plate, but there are no others available. Coffee, milk and juice are served separately in the seating area. The restaurant was very busy, but there were lots of tables and plenty of room.

Other facilities at the hotel include a gift shop, kids play area and bar (which we didn’t visit). Buses are located just outside of the Reception and run every 5 minutes or so – staff will advise you when the first/last bus of the day is. It’s only a 5 minute journey to the parks and Disney Village.

In summary: we found the hotel to be good value for money, it was clean, the Reception well organised, staff pleasant and the room basic but all you needed if you intend to be out at the parks or sightseeing. If you are after the ‘Disney magic’ maybe the SF won’t be for you. It is on a vast complex and a little lacklustre. However, we would definitely return again and would highly recommend this hotel to budget travellers who only want a basic, clean room for the night.

I've stayed in the Santa Fe too Nicola....Like Lou says...budget hotel....but I still enjoyed my stay here...Karaoke in the bar at night was good....for all the time you spend in your room...I think it's an adaquate Disney hotel...we were there a couple of weeks before Christmas and the parks are really beautiful...and the Christmas Parades more than make up for any lack of Disney feeling in the hotel....I'm trying to convince my DH that we need a pre Christmas break in DLP

Stayed at the Santa Fee last new years, Hotel was ok, but prefered the Sequela lodge which is around the same price. I dont know about over Christmas, but on New years eve, you needed to book one of the set menu meals really to be able to get something to eat inside the park, as all the other food outlets seemed to be shut very early. Noone actully told us this, and we ended up queueing for over an hour just to get something to eat. Also as it might rain, make sure you take shoes with plenty of grip. The tiled floors look very nice in the Summer, but become death traps in the rain.

have a nice time!!!!!

Hey Dave, we noticed that too on both of our visits. It rained a bit and the tiled areas got really slippy. They put out yellow cones to make you aware of the wet-floors, but the tiles just outside the Studios are like sheet ice in the wet. I was wearing trainers with a good grip and nearly slipped up!!!

Did Disney make a big boo-boo choosing them tiles or what!! :confused2

We had a slippery time on the wet tiles at the weekend, lucky there were no Claims Direct agents about! Seriously though, they are a nightmare when wet.

Good decision. Cheyenne is cool :) Stayed there in 2003. Nice theming, there are x1 double and bunk beds in the room for kids.

There is no kettle or tea/coffee maker or hairdryer in the room - not putting you off, just letting you know just in case.

Have fun...

How long are you going for, that price seems a little step, for coach if its £449 per adult, we got 3 nights / 4 Days over new year for around £600 last new year on Eurostar, leave waterloo around 9:30, in the park by 2pm (Leave you bags at the station, and collect them when you check in your room), then on the day you leave you dont get back on the train till 18:30, after picking up your bags at the station, would recomend it to anyone, takes alot of hassle out of the trip with bags, and the station is right outside the door. try cooptravel.co.uk as they are very competitive

Another thing about the sequela lodge is that is one of the closest hotels to the park and you can easily walk to it, in about 5 minutes from Disney Village around the lake, sometimes an advantage, if your in the park till it shuts, and the shuttle busses can get very packed, so gives you another option.

Christmas is good, with the fake snow, and even snow machines in main street should the weather now abilige..... as there is plenty of walking to be done, shouldnt get too cold... last year we had nice blue skys most of the time
