Has anyone been to Centreparcs recently?? Am thinking of booking a week there and am trying to find out the prices of extra activities. I understand that they don't send out that sort of info until about two weeks before you go. Am particularly interested in laser clay shooting and quad biking. Also interested in prices at the spa. Can anyone help.

Quite reasonably priced I thought. I never did the quad biking but I think it was about £50. The spa was excellent. I had a back and next massage about £25 or you can spend a morning in the spa for about £18. We just love to cycle which of course is free. Have played badmington about £9, 10 pin bowling £15 for 4. I think all in all it is not far off normal prices, some things can be booked in advance. We love it and go at least 3 times a year.

I was at sherwood Center Parcs a couple of weeks ago, but only for a work thing, we hired the conference facilities, didn't get change to use any of the facilities as the confernce over ran

We went to Oasis Whinfell Forest last year & most of the sports (badminton, tennis, table tennis) were around £3-£5 if I remember correctly!

Actually Ian, just remembered something, are your children doing the owl encounter? We learnt about it when DH did the falconry, hadn't noticed it in the book (ours are a bit too old now :D) Apparently its very good for little ones and as yours are little I thought you may be interested. :D The early evening one is advertised in the book(page 32 of planning your stay booklet) but I seem to think the falconry man mentioned there is also a late night one that isn't advertised.

sorry singlemum+1 for highjacking your thread. This information may be of use to you too. :D

edited to say that was at sherwood forest

Isanda - Thanks Very much for the info. I imagine it could work out a fairly expensive week if you do lots of activities. My DS (13) has seen these activities in the main brochure and wants to do them.

Gosh! You know how to pick the expensive activities don't you!!!

Paintball (12yrs+) £36.50 - 3 hours 30 minutes

Thanks Paula for the Owl info. Can't seem to get my kids interested in the owls. The Owl encounter is at 6.30pm, but the later one is only for 11 years + so DS would not be allowed to go anyway. We are going to Sherwood too.....and DD and DS are more interested in the new family raft ride than seeing some wildlife. Although there may be some interesting wildlife on the family raft ride come to think of it!! ;)

Isanda - Thanks for info - DS seems to have expensive tastes - Not content with things like badminton etc. Guess I'd better start saving now !!!. Only cheap thing he's into is Mountain Biking - guess we'll be able to do a lot of that there. I'll have to stop him watching the extreme sports channels before he gets anymore idea's (otherwise I'll be taking out a second mortgage!!)

You could always send him on the Mountain Bike Trek (£13.50) for 1½ hours early in teh week and then he may be too tired to do anything else!!!
