I am sure the actual resort does not get your details from central reservations until 3 days before you arrive.

You must be excited now with only two weeks to go!!

I never thought about that. We're there in under 7 weeks now and we want Toy Story but I have read that when you check in, you canr equest there and then where you would like to stay and they will do their best to accommodate you.

We requested Mighty Ducks with Virgin and ended up on check in with Toy Story. Thankfully they were able to swap us to Mighty Ducks, into the room next door to our friends. I'm sure there won't be too much of a problem.

You can only make a request a few days before and it is only a request. They will try to honour it for you. What we have been told to do in the past is to arrive early - say 10 or 11am and they will give you a room if it has been cleaned. If not, they will look at who is leaving that day and allocate you one for later. You can leave your luggage at a storage room near reception and come back later that day. This is what we do. We head off to the parks, come back later and have never failed to get a room in the area we want. BTW we easily got Dalmations on our second visit.

Yeah this happened to us we wanted toy story and we were put in love bug but they changed us the next day and took all our luggage to the new room, you wouldn't get this in england!!

We requested Dalmations when we booked but we were allocated Toy Story on arrival. We really didn't want to be down that end of the complex as we prefer the Mighty Ducks' pool and like to use the transport from Music, so we asked to be moved to either Dalmations or Mighty Ducks. They moved us without any hassle. I think they're a bit limited at the moment as they have a lot of rooms under refurbishment so less rooms available, but they will accomodate your request if they can. If you don't ask, you don't get!!!
