We are thinking of visiting Nova Scotia next August.
Anybody been there, especially Halifax and has anybody been to Prince Edward Island [Anne Of Green Gables ,and all that woman type stuff for Suzie and the girls].,especially in July/August.
Trying to find out what there is to do/visit and most importantly ,what kind of weather to expect.

never been Stuart
You've got the idea though.. also there is whale watching from there.. as far as the weather I found this for you..... Weather
A typical summer day in Halifax will have a high temperature of 20 to 25 degrees Celsius with occasional highs in the low 30s, and with a night-time low of about 15 degrees,

I went to Nova Scotia a few years back. We started with a couple of days in Halifax which was a really nice city.
We were there in October but I can remember saying at the time that it would be lovely in the summer as they have a lot of festivals which take place down at the waterfront. From Halifax we visited Peggy's Cove which is a little fishing vllage with a Lighthouse and restaurant.
We also went over to Prince Edward Island which again would be lovely in the summer as it has some wonderful beaches with sand dunes and it is a little like stepping back in time on the island. Green Gables was a great treat for me to visit as I loved the books when I was younger, I have a picture somewhere with me in a schoolhat and ginger plaits taken at the house.
If you like seafood you are in for a treat as the restaurants all serve the freshly caught local lobster etc.
It is a very scenic seacoast destination and the sort of place it is nice to potter about in.
Weather will be good at that time of the year too as Cinder's Mum has already advised.
Hope this is of some help to you :)

Thanks Val and Helsbels.
The Anne of Green Gables thing is one of Suzies childhood dreams .She too read all the books and like I say,its one of those places that she has promised to visit given the chance.
Must say though,it looks very laid back and relaxing.Very different to the mad, full speed ahead hols in Orlando.
Val ,watch this space.
