Downtown Disney Check In

Hi,

Will it be worth us catching a Disney bus from CBR on our last morning and checking in our suitcases at Virgin's Downtown Disney Check In?

If so, what time does the check in open and will we be able to take our suitcases on Disney Transport?

Hi I'am pretty sure that you are unable to take anything more than hand luggage on the disney busses, we had to get a taxi to DTD and catch the bus from there to the park for the day. It opens at 9am we did not have much of a wait .

Sharon, Andy is right I'm afraid, you can't take luggage on the Disney buses. We caught a cab last time from our Disney hotel (it was around $10 I think) right to the DTD check-in for 9.30, we had already left our hand luggage with the bell services at the hotel. We then had a quick cup of coffee at Ghiradellis before getting the bus back to the hotel and then going to MGM. After spending our last day at the park we caught the bus back to the hotel to pick up our hand luggage from bell services and getting our transfer back to the airport.

Looks like we will be taking a taxi to Downtown Disney:D .

Can you get the upgrade to Prem Econ there too (we have booked it going out and if we have enought $$ left we will come home that way too:D ).

I'm not sure on that one Sharon, I remember reading somewhere that DTD can only change your seats in the class you are booked and print your boarding pass, they cannot do upgrades, but then I also remember reading (I think) that someone managed to upgrade at DTD. :confused: I think you might be best to contact Virgin Atlantic directly.
