i bet ur all laughing at me first Sardinia now Halkidiki... i am considering the Sani Beach Club, anyone been??

Don't know about Sani Beach Club, but have stayed at Athos Palace years ago. Never again!!!!
My sister became very ill whilst we were there. Came home with Compilabacta and septacaemia. She spent 10 days in isolation and spent 3 months recovering.
She is lucky to be here now.
Would never go half board again even though it was a 5* hotel.
Sorry to be a stick in the mud. Other people have probably had lovely holidays there, but definately one for us to remember.

We went there about 16 years ago so don't remember much about it, remember it being ok - meals were fine - we'd only been married a year so our standards were a bit different than they would be now but don't remember anything bad - remember have madeira type cake and grapes for breakfast. The only thing I remember we went in October and the first week was really cold and had to ask for more blankets.

We had a lovely holiday at the Sani Beach Hotel about 3 years ago, and my friends have just returned and also had a great time. We felt a week was long enough as it can feel a bit isolated. We had a car for a couple of days to see a little more of the area. It is in a beautiful setting on the beach with a marina within walking distance which has restaurants and a few shops.
