Hi everyone,

planning the restraunt itinerary is just important as planning the theme parks IMO :D eating out most nights is going to be a big part of our hols and something we are really looking forward to.

My familys fave food just has to be chinese, ribs, prawn toast, chicken satay, crispy duck, and thats just the starters!

So, whats the best chinese restraunt in Orlando?

Totally over excited :D

There are a few buffet style chinese places but the best place to eat has to be Ming Court in International Drive. It is not a buffet or cheap but an excellent choice and well frequented by the chinese community which must be a good sign!

Ming Court however tastes like chinese out of a jar. Its over priced and most poor chinese food.

Hong Kong Cuisine is also not a buffet but its far superior in quality.

I'd agree that Ming Court is overrated. We didn't have a bad meal, it was very nice, but not outstanding and not as good as most takeaways in the Uk.

Another vote for Hong Kong cusine, there is absolutely no comparison. I wasn't impressed with Ming Court, thought the food was over priced, your basically paying for the view of watching the fish swim round.

We found the Ming Court to be utterly disgusting. Extremely expensive, teeny tiny portions and the food stodgy, fatty and horrid. Would never darken its door again. We ate there last December, during the busy Xmas period and the place was desserted - should have run away very fast indeed!! I think this place USED to be good, but it certainly isnt anymore.

If you dont mind paying $38 for half a duck, then go right in :D

We are going to try Hong Kong Cuisine this year after hearing better reviews of this place than anywhere else. To be honest, none of the Chinese buffets are up to much. Bill Wongs used to EXCELLENT, but that has slid to far down the slippery slope for us to eat there again.

Yes, on the corner of Carrier Drive. Opposite Chillis.

It doesn't look much from the outside as it is located in a small shopping area but inside its nice and clean and the food is excellent.

I must admit that most Chinese food I've tried has been very disappointing.

I'll give one another go on our next trip.

Definately try Hong Kong Cusine!

We have eaten there many times, and every single time is has been one of the most amazing meals.

The duck is just amazing, but we recently tried their 'sizzling' entrees.

I had chicken and prawn and hubby had seafood and it was so good! We've had lunch there too, we have a sampler of lots of little things.

They do take out oo. We had it delivered to the HRH.

Whatever you do DO NOT eat at the chinese buffet - La China, I think it's called at the Mercado. We went there after reading a recommendation in the Brits Guide to Orlando and when we went there the name had chaged and it was not good. The worst thing being the profiteroles had mould on them :( and the staff weren't interested when I discreetly pointed it out to them:thumbd:

I agree we have always had great food, but will have to try Hong Kong cuisine to compare.

Bill Wongs used to be good, but now it very mediocre.

The thing that bothers me the nost is the lack of cleaniness. Wewll to be honest its just plain dirty.

I have read a few reviews on the dis about it and that was more than enough to put me off BUT I tried it again with my DH and we walked in, went to the buffet and then walked out. It was filthy.

That was this year too.

I agree about Ming Court - should be Minging Court! The setting was actually lovely but very disappointing and over priced. Last year our friends had a nice chinese at a place opposite the Sheraton World Resort just off I drive - sorry dont know the road or the name but I know they had been on previous trips as well and said it was lovely and v reasonable
