View Full Version : Homewood Suites Universal
Hi. Has anyone stayed at this hotel which I believe is at the top of the North end of ID. We have booked for the Enclave Suites but the review for this hotel are getting worse by the day. I have asked TCD if is possible to change our booking to the Homewood because of the great review on TripAdviser.
Many thanks

I havent stayed there but I know it is very good - Ceri has stayed there. The only reason I didnt book it is because it doesnt have in room safes. I am off again next year to Homewood on I Drive. I went with TCD last year - have you asked them about this one? It is on a lovely part of the Drive - just set back from the road and beside Bahama Breeze and loads of other good restauarants. It is right beside the I Ride trolley stop too. Which ever one you choose - it will be good.

Is that the one on American Way? If so, then i've heard great reviews about it. American Way is just off of I Drive, a short walk to Wet & Wild, Universal is also walkable, or a short car trip away.
Hi Margaret. Tried for the Homewood on ID first but there appeared to be no vacancies on the TCD web sight so I chose the Universal one instead. They havn't responded as yet so I am still waiting.
Hi ukdiva. Yes it is the one on American Way. Review seem pretty good so I hope I hear soon.

We're staying here very soon. When we booked it we were torn between the two HS on I Drive and the enclave suites. I checked tripadvisor and also the v helpful lady at TCD and she said the Universal HS one was far nicer, cleaner and newer. The position of the others ifs more favourable I think though.
I'll be able to let you know.
Agree they dont have safes which has concerned me but if you do a search on this site you will see I have asked about this and other Dibbers have assured me that there are ample safety deposit boxes also there is a laundry (not stated on the info) and plenty of parking.
Hope this helps
Thanks

I can assure you that the I Drive Homewood is spotless. It is only a few years old. The one at LBV is older. All the Homewood Suites have a great reputation and the price for what you get is amazing. I cant believe that next year for £57 per night we are getting a huge bedroom and TV, a living room and kitchenette, buffet breakfast and an evening managers reception. You will get this too Deb and Irene and believe me you will never want to stay anywhere else again. I hope you both have a great holiday. :D
I cant wait to go again either!

Hi Margaret, I think Deb was refering to the Enclave Suites and if you look at TripAdviser you can see why the young lady at TCD said that the HS on American way was by far the better of the two. .
Thanks for all your replies, I am just waiting to here from TCD now. Hope they make it soon lol.

Yeah, i think Hilton built Homewood Suites and the Hilton Garden Inn within a few months of each other, i think these 2 hotels are practically next door to each other, i'm guessing American Way is the latest area for development within the I Drive area!

Great suites. We stayed there last year. Paid £22 a night thru airnet.co.uk. We ate that in breakfast every morning and managers evening reception so really stayed for free.
