Don't worry there will be many children on board, the clubs are good. They will find friends easily.
Go and enjoy yourselves. Also try the P & O cruise connections board where you will be given a load of info and they will put your mind at rest.

Hi,
We have been with P&O on many cruises over the last 20 years and have taken our children every time. Activities are arranged each day for children & teens, they have their own club rooms, newspapers ,dedicated staff, their own pool parties, late night Pizza parties, captains Coketail parties, the list is endless. You will probably not see much of them as the entertainment is so good.
My sister was a childrens hostess on Oriana so I have first hand knowledge of whats goes on and I can assure you that the facilities are first class.
There are allways some children on board but out of season cruises obviously have a lower number as do those going to northern ports. However the staff & facilities are there regardless of the number of children on board.

We have cruised on Oriana and found P&O to be excellent with kids. There were plenty of all ages when we went in October.
The younger ones have loads of daily activities and their own play area where you can leave them with trained staff.
The older ones have a clubhouse with party nights etc.
There is also a night nursery for little ones and in-cabin baby listening.
It was an ideal family holiday as you have the right balance between family time and child-free time as you choose. Kids could also have an early evening meal on their own so parents could enjoy their dinner later while the kids were looked after in the clubhouse.

Went on the old arcadia in 2000 with my 2 who were 4 and 6. They loved it - more than the Disney cruise. I would definately recommend it for kids

P&O do cater well for children, but if you are concerned have you considered looking at Norwegian Cruise Lines? They have some great Med itineraries, still a great standard of ship as well and have Freestyle dining which may be easier with children than the set dining times of the more "formal" lines. They have just launched their new ship the Norwegian Jewel which is located in the Med for the summer and all reports are that this is a stunner !!
Just a thought
