You don't have to buy a package including tickets, there are other options, but they are harder to find!

We purchased Annual Fantasy Passes which were 119 Euros with a discount for buying 3 or more.
Apart from the fact that this pass only costs 10 Euros more than a 3 day pass, it gives you 10% off absolutely everything you buy in the parks, we lost track of how much we saved but we think we must have recouped the cost of at least one of the passes.

We were only visiting for two (separate) days and wanted to do both parks. Oddly, two one park tickets (at E41) for each day each were cheaper than a two day hopper. Plus if you spend the day at the Studios you can transfer across to the main park at 1700 (which we did).

If you want to avoid the queues at the turnstiles then it is best to buy a 1 day pass before hand and then 'trade it up' to a Annual Fantasy pass at the park annual pass office (near the castle).

Here is some information (in French) about the annual passes http://www.disneylandparis.com/fr/passeport_annuel/nonadh/fantasy.htm as mentioned before it also gives you discounts in the park (10% off food & drink & gifts)

The annual fantasy pass is a great deal. If you have a large family it gets cheaper the more you buy.

For my family of six the annual pass worked out to be cheaper than the 3 day hopper pass - plus if you can get cheap flights and accomodation it gives you an excuse to go back again :)

We went last August and are going back in March. It is only working out £100 a head for 7 nights for flights and accomodation at Val d'Europe.

We were badly advised before going to dlp this last weekend,as we were told by the disney people who arranged our package that we could upgrade our tickets to annual passports-but you can't if they are bought as part of a package. This is probably blindingly obvious to all the regulars on here, but thought this info might be of use to other newbies like me.

How annoying for you. I suppose it is a bit like the 14 & 21 Ultimate passes for WDW - They cannot be upgraded either.

We bought the dream passes in DLP last Oct as they have a few extra benefits over the Fantasy passes ie free aperitifs before meals in restaurants, 20% on goods bought in the Disney shops and no blackout days.

just one of those things, not the end of the world but Ido wish companies would train their staff properly,as even the english cs at davey crockett said we could could upgrade (having gone to her manager and checked) so we waisted precious time queing in the anual passport place for nothing.

I didn't know that either, and would have been equally annoyed.

The passes that they sell as part of packages are actually more expensive then the annual pass if you are staying more than 3 days, so I guess they don't want that information getting out there!

I bet they don't. Another good reason for getting the Dream Pass...

I got 25% discount on 4 nights at the Disneyland Hotel.

Where can you buy the Dream or Fantasy passes from?

http://www.disneylandparis.com/fr/passeport_annuel/nonadh/dream.htm

It's in French so I will give you a brief translation:-

365 days access to the parks
Free parking in the Park car park and in the Hotel car parks (except Disneyland Hotel)
Extra Magic Hours (ie you don't need to stay on-site for these)
Free entry into the Hurricanes disco with a guest
Invitations to special events
Free aperitif in table service restaurants
10% all year and up to 30% at certain times discount on rooms in Disney Hotels.
Free hire of pushchairs and wheelchairs
50% off Halloween special event
20% discount on tickets bought at the gate (for friends & family)
15% off Buffalo Bill Dinner Show
20% Off in the shops in the village, parks and hotels.
10 % off in the bars and restaurants
10 % off Golf Disneyland
10 % off in all of the Disney Stores in France.

It costs more than the Fantasy pass 179 euros compared to 119 which I know is quite a lot but for us the extra benefits are worthwhile, namely the free aperitif, the free parking, the rooms discount, the EMH when offsite and the discount in the shop & restaurant.

We paid for them at the gate where we were given vouchers to exchange at the Annual Pass office which is at the entrance to Tommorowland I think. Took about 10 minutes.

For those that are interested I thought I'd do a rough translation of the Fantasy pass benefits :-

335 days access to both parks
Free parking in the Disney Parks (not the hotels)
50% off the price of one park entry ticket bought for the same day.
(with the dream pass you can buy 5 tickets a day at 20% off)
25% off your Halloween ticket
15% off Buffalo Bill Dinner show (max 3)
10% of the shops
10% off in restuarants and bars

if you are going to get them at the gates, and there is a long queue at the Disneyland Park gate, then walk over to the Studios and buy your tickets there instead. We waited AGES to get our tickets at the disneyland park, at least an hour, and the following day when we entered the Studios we noticed there was no line to buy tickets there at all.

you can also buy a day pass and upgrade at the annual pass office. They also have a deal at the moment until early April that a child (under 7) can get a free pass if bought with a parents. You have to ask though. It's only advertised in French on the dlp site.

Hi All

I'm heading back to Paris and DLP in August. Staying in Tulip Inn, Bussy St George (2 stops from DLP). I was going to get a 3/4 day pass but the more I read about the annual passports I think they would be better and we could pop in on evenings of days we spend in Paris. I was wondering do I need to buy a one day hopper to get in or can you buy the annual pass straight away - I'm assuming I'll have to get it at the gate?

Thanks for any help.

Mandy we bought ours over there and they were brilliant value!

We had 10% discount via sponsorship forms (not sure if that programs still runs as our AP's ran out last October did get some foms through but all in French so only understood a bit of them) so we ended up getting a one day ticket and getting a refund from the AP office who also dealt with the 10% discount forms for us.

We bought the Dream passes and parked in the New York Hotel when we stayed offsite and the EMH were great too (didn't need to stay onsite to benefit from EMH).

They are superb value for just one short trip let alone squeezing in another trip. Worked well for us as the October half term one year was a week earlier so our second trip cost peanuts.

Thanks for your help. I think it will be handier to buy them over there. I've read about sponsorship forms on some sites but I've probably left it too late now anyway.
