Hi when I go, later this month, Im thinking of taking a 'day out' and driving to one of the beach area's for the day... where do you reckon is worthwhile seeing? been thinking about Clearwater or St. Pete's.... any suggestions would be much appreciated...
Thanks :D
Never been to Gulf Coast but we went to Daytona and it was great. Really nice just walking along the shore line and thinking
" I've got my feet in the Atlantic Ocean". The beach there is great. Stopped at the race circuit on the way back as well. That was worth a visit.
Can't really comment on the other beaches though, except that I've never heard any negative comments about any of them.

Clearwater and St Petes are really nice beaches, I do prefer St Petes.
Been to Cocoa Beach and found the sea to be a bit too rough for a nice relaxing swim.

We went to both Daytona and cocoa beaches.
Daytona was lively and exciting with lots going on and cocoa was nice and quiet and relaxing, so the choice is yours

Silly i know, would love to go to a beach but have a big problem about sharks ( in the water not on the beach), any beaches with the shark net things.

St. Pete`s is our favourite. :D We always spend time at the beach and then go to the pier. Have a look at this web site
