View Full Version : Best hotel at universal?
Which hotel would you reccomend at Universal for a 1 or 2 night stay, me, DH and DD (5).
We stayed at the Hard Rock - it's fantastic, and even better if you rent a cabana by the pool for the day. :D
Whichever hotel you decide on, make sure you join the Loews program, it's free to join and can get you a free upgrade and a free gift in your room which you can choose your self, it includes milk and cookies, beer, fruit etc.
I have joined the leows club and the best hotel rate for next year is $199 a night for the Royal Pacific. I was interested in booking this for the benefit of the Fron line pass but my husband said won't there be lots of other hotel guests using this.
Has anyone used the Front line pass and is it worth staying on site to get it?
FOTL is absolutely fab, it's the only reason to stay at a Universal Hotel :D
I think the Hard Rock is fine for a 1 or 2 night stay, but that's it. We were there for around 10 nights last year, and that was too long.

Definitely worth staying on site! although your room is guaranteed to be ready until 4, you can check in from as early as you want and you are given a room key to use as front of line at the parks. The same goes for when you check out the hotel. You check out by noon but can use your room key until the park closes and continue to use the hotel facilities. You can use facilities at all 3 hotels. My fave is the Hard Rock. The pool doesnt go too deep and there is a slide. If you are a member of the AA you can get a AAA discount which is usually very good. Book via uescape.com and put in AAA in the box. As Mazzy says, join Loews First which you can do on loewshotels.com.
LOVE the Hard Rock and would stay there every time if I could!:)
We love the Portifino Bay. We visit every year and always stay here.

My Fave is RPR, also when booking remember u can try and get AAA discount if available, U will need AA membership but at Universal AAA discount on food and merchandise is rife 10% off practically everything, so joiining the AA for £40 is worth it:beer:
