I have read quite a few threads in various forums that Pop can be quite noisy. Can anyone who has stayed there tell me what you think. I am a lousy sleeper so I have to think of these things.:D

I stayed in All Star Movies some years ago and am staying in Pop Century next year. I am expecting Pop to be very similar to All stars. I would think that the noise level at the resort depends on how busy it is when you stay there. When we stayed at All stars in Sept it was fairly quiet and we are staying again in Sept next year so expecting it to fairly quiet again.

If you are worried about noise when you are trying to sleep request a top floor room (no noisy feet above you). We had a top floor room in Allstars and never heard a peep from anyone. I have requested top floor again at Pop.

We stayed in the 90s building at Pop and it was soooo quiet i thought we were the only ones in the block!!
I think the preferred rooms would be quite noisy as they are next to the main pool (open til 12.00) and the food courts (open from 6AM til 11PM).
Id definately request 90s if you want quiet. The pool is quiet too and loads of times my 2 had the whole pool to themselves!

Also, if you dont mind walking across the carpark (its not that busy) you are closer to the bus stops if you are in the 90s building

If you tell the check in staff on arrival that you are a light sleeper and ask for a top floor room, they are pretty good normally and will look for a quiet room.....this meanss that it may be a 5minute hike to the food court in the morning/evening but, hey, you are on holiday !!

Mrs F-D is a light sleeper and has never had any problems with niose when we have been there!

Mr F-d...two weeks and counting!!!!

Hi,

We are also very light sleepers and always request a quiet room.

We usually ask for top floor, non pool facing and away from ice machine and lifts.

Luckily, these are plum locations that everyone else wants!

The noise level will depend on which part of the hotel you are staying. If you're in a room overlooking a pool or the main food-court, it will probably be quite noise because of the amount of people that congregate around those areas. We stayed in the 70s block last September and it was lovely and quiet - no problems at all.

Hi - we stayed there last christmas in peak season and there was no noise. I requested a top floor room facing the hour glass lake as I knew that the pool areas would be noisy. We could see the fireworks from epcot and it was really good. We did have to wait for the room as what I wanted wasnt available on the first day we got there so they moved us on the next day. It was a bit of a walk back of a nighttime for the boys when they were tired and needed carrying! I would next time try to get the block facing the lake nearest the car park - ( nearest to epcot )

brilliant hotel - we are staying there when we go again next year!

Once the hotel room door is shut you can't hear anything outside it is delish and cool... we loved it. Outside they play constant music which is ok... puts you in the holiday mood. We found the food court though to be so loud we couldn't concentrate... not great first thing in the morning when you're all muggy headed and on automatic.
