I'm considering going here on Sunday as it looks like a good way to spend a few hours, has anyone been, and do you have any opinions on it?

We went for the 1st time at Xmas, booked up again for Sept 25th.

We did the 10:30 showing. You have to turn up at about 10:00 to get in the queue to go in. We booked months in advance and picked our tickets up at the booth.

The hsow is on a stage at the front of a large hall, eating areas mainly on the 'dancefloor', there are a few booths (i think) and a balcony area. We were seated right centre at the front.

First thing is to get piled high with your food. It's served buffet style and is piping hot and very fresh. It's mostly Southern style dishes, plenty of choice and tastes delicious.

Non alcoholic drinks are free, you just serve your self at the bar, not sure if they acutally serve alcohol.

Don't hang about getting your food as the show starts after about 30 minutes.

They have various 'groups' each week, ours was apparently a family. The music is Gospel, Blues and general very upbeat. The main man is a preacher type, he compares and really gets things moving. The whole set lasts about an hour, it's loud and joining in with the clapping, stamping, jumping and prasin' is all part of the show. There's no pressure to get involved and despite the name it's not particularly religiously themed (good job or I'd be struck down, being a non beleiver!)

If you like to get more invloved then you can get up on stage and celebrate anything you like, our DD thought this was fun!

It's an excellent show, food is good and puts a real spring in your step first thing in the morning.

I'd recommend it to anyone.

I did the gospel brunch a few years ago with my mum while my brothers went to Disney Quest. It wasn't really our cup of tea and I wouldn't go again.

PS - the food was good though!
