Hi, me again,
Just had a look at that link, and it's a great saving. This would cost us around £187 and with the current price on Attraction Tickets Direct it would be £261 (although you do get 5 free days with that ticket rather than 2 - but 4 days is more than enough for us - so why buy more than you need). Just wondered though Scotty where did you read that they have to be purchased by Jan and use before April - couldn't see that. Not that I@m doubting you or anything:p:

Adult $59.75 + tax
Child $48.00 + tax
Are those prices a 1 day pass for one park or can you visit IOA and US in the same day for that price.
Laydee_J
15 Sep 05, 09:23 PM
Prices are just for one park Flo, so definately cheaper to get your tickets before you go.
Thanks, trying to convince my DH to do US & IOA next year but he thinks there won't be enough for my DD (5) to do. I only want to go to do Spiderman again.
When we visited earlier this year (in April), we went for the FlexTicket from AttractionTicketsDirect, simply because the "one ticket option" was only slightly more expensive than doing it "park by park".
Of course, we never went to Busch Gardens or Wet N' Wild. So, we really paid for parks we never went to
Just remembered...take your 5 year old to Curious George at Universal. It is grrrrreat!

Thanks for posting Scotty, saved myself £100 by getting Universal tickets and S/W / Busch gardens seprately rather than the 5 park Flexi tickets for 2 ads and 2 kids.

The offer is for 4 consecutive days, you can visit both parks and park hop on the same day, and yes you get a free child ticket with each adult one.
When I ordered mine last year I recieved a confirmation number and when I got to the park I put in my number and credit card into a machine and out popped my 4 tickets.

hi all
these free kids tickets. do they have to be used with a full pay adult ticket, as i have relatives who are coming out 4 days later to us and i could get one of her childs free ticket and we split the cost between us. i don't want her to get there without me and not be able to use her childs ticket.
sorry for any confusion

I am wondering the same thing, we are 2 adults and3 kids and there doesn't seem to be a kids ticket price for the extra ticket so we will have to get a third ticket at $99 and will get the 3rd kid free, so I will have a spare adult ticket which I could maybe give to another DIBBER to use...anyone ever done anything like this?

I know this sounds a bit thick, but I take it the consecutive days are one straight after the other?, I don't know if I could be bothered going for 4 days in row

I'd love to go back to IOA and US but with a 3 1/2 YO DD it's just not gonna be worth it for us.... she would manage to do the majority of the rides attaractions in the Dis' parks but the themeing is for a lot older/bigger in the Universal parks.... it's a shame but it means we'll just have to come back!!
Just wanted to say thanks to whoever started this thread. We have just saved a fortune on U/S IOA tickets with the pay for 2 days get 2 free and then a free kids ticket. We are concentrating on Universal this time (height restrictions) our son is now tall enough for most of the rides so no more kids swap. HOORAH. Once again thanks
Keema & family

There is a surprising amount to do for under fives in US. Start with Barney; from there head to Curious George (Brill for Kids and adults who don't mind getting wet!); do ET; go to the "An American Tail" playpark; Go to Shrek 3D; try the Woody Woodpecker rollercoaster (way too scary for me, mind you).
In IofA, go to The Cat In the Hat
ET was too scary for me, not keen on cable rides!

me and the Missus have done the Uni' Parks plenty of times we just felt that we would either be..
a) Be doing a lot of parent swops at the rides OR
b) Not doing a lot of the rides
It's a lot of money to pay to go in IoA and the theming is for mainly teens upwards... If we didn't do a parent swap then we'd be in and out of the park in half day.... there's a lot more at Universal but our DD would still be missing a lot of it out..
We are off tomorrow and my little girl really wants to go on Splash Mountain... we have been measuring her every month over the past 6 months with this big black line as her goal (101cm in the Brits Guide) which is the height restriction for the ride.... she is currently 100.5cm at her measuring yesterday!!! Possibility that she might be able to make the few `mm's needed over the 2 weeks we are out there...... however after reading a Disney pamphlet it seems that the height for this attaraction and the others is now 102cm!!!
Does anyone know the PROPER official height???
Orlandobelle
21 Sep 05, 11:05 AM
I think the proper height is 40" which is 101.6 cm (approx). My DD measured 39 1/2 " at home but was easily tall enough with her shoes on :)

Ahhhhhh that's why.... blimey good old metric eh!! :wink
I should have said the measuring was with a pair of trainers on and a baseball cap!! :D
Oh well if it's a negative regarding my daughter riding Splash Mtn it will just mean we'll have to return in a couple of years time then :jump:

Also received ours today i don't think it must matter which ticket is used for adults or childs as ours all state one guest also, we now have everything we need apart from the flight tickets & can't wait.
maybe once someone has used them ,they could let us know if it mattered about using the child ticket /adult ticket for the right person ? thanks

When we used these in january we stuck to using the same one each. I can't remember if they specifically stated child and adult but there were no problems with using them at all..

ANYONE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Amanda
I would ring or email Universal directly to ask if the offer is available at the gate, usually these sort of offers are web based and for advance purchase tickets but not always.
On the other hand if you buy them just be sure and go, it all depends on how much you are trying to fit in to your holiday, whether or not it is your first holiday and what other tickets you already have.
Have a great time whatever you decide
Nicola
ps We really enjoyed Univ and IOA last time but I still prefer the Disney Parks!!

Amanda,
Muy understanding of this offer is that it is only on Universal's website. I may be wrong and I am sure someone will be along to corret me if this is the case:wink If so maybe you could order on-line whilst on holiday - not sure if that facility is available to you or not? Hope you find out and hope you have a great time - not long now.:D

No, it clearly states this offer is NOT available on the gate. We were also in 2 minds as our itinerary is fairly full! Went for it in the end as it has worked out only £100 for the 4 of us for 4 days admission. It would be nearly twice that on the day..and for only 2 days!!

I want to order them Allie but DH is been a tight A**e and keeps saying we will buy them there which defeats the object to me cause it's gonna cost us much much more. I might just order them and not tell him he's in my bad books anyway.
