Sunshine River Tours

Hi All.....

I know nickjr has just asked about the manatee swim, but we
have we have looked into the Tours with Captain Mike and think it sounds just the thing we are looking for.......:jump:

Has anybody gone with Sunshine Tours, but most of all.....what have you done about getting there ???
How far is it from Orlando....as I am a little worried with being there for 5.30am !!!

Alright....it seems nobody knows much about Sunshine Tours....

....but if we do go....as it's such an early start in the morning can anybody recommend a reasonably priced accomodation up at Crystal River for a family of 5....

We stayed at the Best Western Crystal River in August 2003, and it was fine for a couple of nights. Right on the river, with a small pool, and very near to Birds Underwater who we did a Manatee Swim trip with (brilliant morning-would love to do it again). There's also a Days Inn nearby which was cheaper, but don't know what it's like.

I've seen that Birds Underwater rent out River Houses....
They accommodate 5 and more people and the cost $119 a night....
Does anybody know about these and whether you can book them even if you are not doing the Manatee swim with Birds Underwater???
