Hi we are going to Orlando next Feb and are looking for alternative, non Disney, things to do over Presidents Day weekend (3rd weekend in Feb).

Can anyone tell me how busy Kennedy Space Centre will be in comparison - I'm presumming it won't be as busy as the parks (?) but is it worth avoiding this too, over this period ?

Also - does anyone know a site that does the cheapest tickets for this attraction (we want a standard pass with an astrounaut lunch).

We have looked at booking direct from the Kennedy Space centre website; as even with the fall in exchange rate, they are still low in price but I cannot get any information on their shipping costs (& taxes) to the UK - anyone bought from this site recently ?
I have tried emailing them but have still not managed to get any answers.

thanks to anyone that can help.

Can't you select the 'will call' option and pick up when you visit?

It is usually lots quieter than the main parks - certainly was when we were there. Will be buying off the site soon so will let you know!

Saonaqueen - thanks for that tip - 2 questions though ;

- will that mean us having to join a queue to get them ?

- is this the same price as on gate ?

Another thought .....are there any locally available discount vouchers (such as contained in some discount voucher books that you get in the malls ) ?

grateful if you can help !

We went last Feb on a rainy day. I think it was fairly busy - probably for that reason! It was no problem though, and quiet outside to look at the exhibits. We bought tickets at the gate - no wait time and someone on hand to explain the different tickets as I found it very complicated! We did the longer tour which was excellent. A good trip and worth it. Not sure what Presidents day etc will be like, but I think it should be quieter than Disney.
When are you off in February. We go after you on 23rd.

HI Granmaz

We go on the 16th for two weeks but the last 4 nights we are doing a Disney Cruise - wish I'd done a bit more research on these boards now as I did not know about Presidents Day - we normally go first 2 weeks of Feb which have been fine (park and weather wise) but thought we would benefit from even better weather in the last 2 weeks this time.

Just hope things are not too busy !!!

Not sure about the price but I think 'will call' is collected from a different point but wouldn't swear to it!

We spent longer in queues at KSC than we did at any of the main parks for any ride! This was just waiting for buses on the tour. At least in a park you can decide not to queue and go onto the next ride. At KSC you have to get back on the bus to get to the next point, there's no other option. As a result the 2-2.5 hour tour took us 4!

Just an addition to my post earlier - the slowest part was the security checks. They were so much more thorough than at the parks!
