outside the parks

If you were given an extra day to do something other than parks and shopping what would most of you choose.

I would like to try one of the beaches - but would need help choosing one!! (no sharks!!!!!!!)

i would go to st augustines, quite drive but it has a beach as well as out let malls and lots of history., and a wonderful cake shop called the bunnery!!

We did the Florida Adventure Tour last year.

The coach picked us up from I Drive. We had breakfast at Sizzlers, followed by an hours drive to Crystal River. An airboat ride; a look round an animal sanctuary; a packed lunch by the lakes of the river, and a swim with wild manatees.

Best day of our holiday by far.

Would definately recommend it. Price was good too. About £65 each.

We drovw out to Daytona beach one day. It was lovely, beautiful beach. But personally I couldn't wait to get back to Orlando.

Clearwater! Go for a trip on the Seascreamer (a huge speed boat) and see the dolphins in the wake of the boat. Beautiful beach too - although after the recent red tide the sand isnt as fine as it used to be.

Really like the sound of that and i think the 5 other members of my family would too!

St Pete's is amazing!

After going to Daytona and clearwater beach,the first two years I went to Florida,on day trips,
This year we decided to do a whole week on the coast,and stayed in Rotonda,nr engelwood.

By far the best two beaches we visted during this week were at Naples,registry club and venice beach.

To far really for a day trip but they are magnificent.:wink
