correct age for discovery cove

We were thinking of visiting Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins but the problem is my son is only 5years old, he will be 6 in Dec. Someone told me that the age to swim with the dolphins is 6. How strict are they, do they require proof of age i.e passport or something

My DD's are both over 10 so we had no problem, but my friend whose daughter was 7 and looks very young, was asked for age ID at DC, so I guess they are strict.

They are very strict and photo ID is required when you check-in.
