AAA discounts

Please can someone tell me how to get AAA discount on the Disney hotels? I do know they aren't out yet for next year, but there doesn't seem to be that option on the disneyworld website. Is it better to phone? For Universal hotels, you can put the code on the website and if there are any discounts available they should come up. They are also not available for next year as yet. So frustrating for someone who likes to get things organised!

You can get the discount by phoning them yourself or you could use an agent - yourmagicaljourneys.com are good (have used them before) and I think that Val - Cinders Mum can secure the AAA discount for you.

Hi,

We haven't quite decided where we are staying yet - we have a cabin booked at Fort Wilderness but are thinking of swapping to PO French Quarter as we will save £700:eek: I love the cabins but don't think I can justify the extra cost this time.

That's a big saving! From what I gather from reading here and other forums, the AAA codes are not available yet for February. Some folk suggest booking at rack rate then changing if they become available, but then you are stuck with the higher rate if they don't become available. Mind you the rates are not bad on the Disneyworld and slightly cheaper on TCD.
Also there are differing opinions as to whether it is worth paying the extra for a riverside view.

I was able to get AAA rates via Dreamsunlimitedtravel.com who are a US TA, I used them as they also booked my Disney Cruise at a great rate. I believe you can ring Disney in the US directly and they will quote you AAA rates for room only (I think you save between 10-20% depending on the time of year).
