Assume you mean lowfield farm ?

Our last stay there was just over a year ago so not that recent. We booked after recomendations on this site.

Positive :
1. Good prices
2. Friendly owners
3 .Easy to find
4. Close to Gatwick
5. Rooms clean, spacious
6. Own key to get in after going out to eat
7. At least 2 nearby pubs to eat - including a child friendly one a short distance away (by car)
8. Noisy (it is close to the airport), but quiet inside if you close the windows.
9. On time transfers by car, prompt pick up on return - you phone when clear of customs.
10. Good breakfast, although we wanted to leave too early to try the cooked version
11. Car safe while away and at little additional cost.

Negatives :
1. For us the beds were very soft and our oldest daughter was unhappy with hers.
To be fair we mentioned this to them when my parents were thinking of booking and they said all the beds were relatively new and that no-one else had been unhappy, so may just be us.

Would we use them again?
We both work long hours and so getting away the same day was so stressful we are unlikely to do it again, but if we did and needed an overnight stay then yes we would try them again.

We also stayed there this year and would entirely agree with Chris. However the noise is a real problem. The runway must be pretty close by and the planes are very very loud even with the windows closed. We would also agree about the beds very very soft. We thought it was good value for money but we wouldn't choose to stay there again.

We used,

http://www.springwoodguesthouse.co.uk/Default.htm

for our overnight stay in July. We thought they were great. Excellent rates and the family room we had was excellent. Very friendly people and only 5 mins from Gatwick.

Breakfast is included and you can park your car there for £2.50 per night.

Hope this helps.:wink

We stayed at Southbourne Guest House in Horley. It was recommended to me by Dan and is excellent. The owners are very friendly and if you arent driving they will collect you from Gatwick (we used Twilight check in) and drop you off next morning after breakfast.
Click on this link and then have a look at the room rate link - enlarge the pic and you will see how good the rooms are.

An excellent place to stay and no airport noise!

We used The Lawns Guest House (http://www.lawnguesthouse.co.uk/) after Lowfield cancelled our booking when the had roof problems and they couldn't find us a suitable alternative. Would happily stay at The Lawns again, very quaint, pub/restaurant within walking distance, family friendly, good breakfast & transportation to Gatwick :)

I stayed there a couple of weeks back (happy days) and we would definatly use it again!

Location is great - Its clean and friendly and with windows closed noise was not a problem. The planes stop at 11pm or something anyway.

You will be fine! Have a great time.
