Hi,
We're looking at the Best western Movieland hotel for a holiday next year. Just wondering if anyone had been there and what you thought of it.

Hi
We are off to the Best Western Movieland on the 6th October, can not wait, I will let you know what it is like when I come back. In the meantime check out Trip Advisor, the hotel has had some good write ups recently.

If you are able to wait a few weeks I'll be able to tell you as I'm going there next Sunday! I do have reservations as I've seen some pretty daming reports on trip advisor but I've also seen some very good reports there too. So I will wait and make up my own mind, as long as it's clean and safe then I'll be happy.

HI
We have just come back from staying at Best Western Movieland, and it is fine we stayed there in 2002 as well, and we are staying there next year as well, so thoughly recommend it.
Right opposite Wet and Wild, and an I ride Trolley stop right out the front should you want to use it, Walgreens just up the street, and lots of Restaraunts and shops nearby.
Weve never had a reason to stay anywhere else.
Enjoy your trip
We have just stayed there for a couple of nights and to be honest, we were not that keen, The room was Ok, typical of what you get in this price range, but we found it very noisy. It seems that the room doors are designed to bang shut, The Ice machine was making a racket that had to be heard to be believed, and we could clearly hear the people in the next room at two A.M. You could also hear any noise from the corridor as there is a 1" gap under the doors for some reason. We had to roll up a towel and stuff the gap to keep out the light and noise.
We were only there for two nights before heading to Key West so it wasnt too bad, and I think there might be an element of pot luck as to wether you get a good quiet room or a noisy one.
Im certainly not slagging the place off in a big way but we would not choose to stay there again.
On the plus side there were some great movie posters on the walls in the corridor!.

We stayed here last year for our first trip the room was clean and there was a maid service every day, but have to agree with the above post that it was noisy especially if there were school kids staying there, this was mainly on weekends and it seemed pretty quiet in the week i found this to be the only down side to this hotel.
The pool was fine.

Stayed last year as our favourite pub is attached to the hotel, room ok but no fridge (normally stay in the Rodeway and you get a fridge, microwave, video machine!)
Get to the pool early, the towels are out from the crack of dawn!
