Rose & Crown and Illuminations

Hi

I've just been resding JaneSi 's 2005 Trip Report (Very Good).....

and she has details of Dinner at the Rose & Crown at Epcot, This looks right up our street and I was wondering what time we would need to make a PS so that we could get to see the Fireworks.

Any Tips or advice gratefully received.

Hi Pete, we booked for 7.30pm. It was sheer luck that we were outside and not indoors. When we asked if we could go down to the terrace to watch the fireworks, our waitress led us down to a "private" viewing area, it was roped off to the public.

We has a PS for 8pm but checked in at the podium at 7.30pm and politely asked if there was any possibility of a patio table. We were given a pager and seated at 7.45pm.
So lucky! We had the perfect spot in the centre of the lower patio! The service is not rushed as they appreciate everyone wants to stay for the fireworks. We were just finishing our entrees as Illuminations began and the view was superb. More details in my trippie (July 17th). Would definately eat there again and the view just made it more special.

We were sat outside, but underneath the sun/rain canopy so did not get the full view (i.e the fireworks up in the sky) but we did have a good view of what went on on the water.

The last time we ate at the Rose and Crown we had to sit inside, but we still enjoyed the meal.

We just had to do Epcot again so we could watch the fireworks. Any excuse to go back to Epcot it is my favourite park!!!!!

Illuminations is Awesome...that and Fantasmic blow us away everytime!
