Hi, I have read alot about the Whispering Canyon Cafe and think it sounds like fun, but I was just wondering if my boyfriend and I will seem out of place here not having any kids. Will we find it as entertaining, or should we try somewhere else, Artists Point perhaps?
There are so many WDW restuarants I want to try and can't fit them all in, so I 'm having to do my research and choose carefully.
So far I have chosen, Boma, O'hana and the Grand Floridean Cafe. Any other suggestions welcome.
Thanks
Would actually like to ask the same question as this place sounds fun. Also how about other restaurants and character meals?

It depends really. Do you think you are really up for it? I love the place but you must be prepared to participate or you will not enjoy it at all. It is all about customer interaction and reaction and I think, less about the food.
Be careful if you get up from your seat or a server may make an announcement that you are off to the restrooms! You may also be accused of trying to escape without settling your bill.
Its all good fun!

It can be enjoyed as much by adults as kids, but you do need to be up for a bit of participation. It is not the place for a quiet romantic meal. My kids are teens and we all enjoyed it, although they did draw the line at participating in the hobby horse race, but that wasn't a problem. If you asked for a quieter table in the corner, the server would get the hint that you didn't want too much interaction and you could still enjoy watching.
Also lunch seems to be quieter than dinner from reviews I've read.

We went this summer & as long as you don't mind being surrounded by families with lots of excited children, it's fine! However if it had just been the two of us I don't think we'd have bothered. The food is great for the type of "family dining" it is, but there are other more adult menus in other restaurants at Disney that are just as much fun but not quite so "in your face!"
Having said that, we had a laugh but then we were with children ... I include DH in that comment too!

its fine! OHanas and Bomas are also good...if you want a great, more adult meal try Citrico's at the Grand Floridian:)

I've read somewhere that if you ask for a table behind the fireplace this is the kids free zone but as everyone has set - go for it if you don't mind joining in.
We went twice on our last trip because we enjoyed it so much. The servers are mad and make the whole meal a show start to finish. We ended up wearing hats made out of napkins but nothing more than that. The servers seemed to 'target' people who were playing up to them as it were and if you weren't overly enthusiastic you weren't pestered.
By the way - if you do go, don't wear a universal shirt or you'll never hear the end of it!!!
