I'm thinking of going away somewhere next week for two or three days before i start my new job, as a little treat for myself, and also to just relax! Does anyone have any ideas as to good places for mini breaks? I've thought of maybe Amsterdam?

Krakow poland is an amazing place and very cheap. flights for me and hubby £36 for both including all taxes
found wonderful apartment too right on the square, cannot tell you too many times how beautiful this place is
visit now whilst it's unspoiled, the hen and stag parties will find this place and it will be ruined in 3 or 4 years
we fly with sky europe

Venice is beautiful but can be a bit smelly. Maybe not quite so much in the cooler months perhaps, only ever been in June.
Paris for me, I love this place.

Prague sounds good, not too keen on France, Barcelona could be a possibility... i'm gonna go look at prices right now! :)

Brussels is a very nice city break (been twice). Food is a lot better and cheaper than in France. Seafood there is great (Lobster and Saffron Rice, Mussels and Chips)
The people are friendly and the beers are very good (and strong). Bruges is also very nice and about an hour on the train from Brussels.
Also if your in London, you can get the Eurostar there pretty easy and cheaply, cheaper than for us flying from the North West!

Just been looking on various websites and came across £2.99 flights to Dublin on ryanair.com so i feel at these prices, it would be rude not too, so have just emailed one my friends to see if she fancies going to Dublin for 2 days next week!
