I agree with you Blue we stayed at BBR this year and have booked for next year. The location will be even better whe the short cut to the 192 is finished.

Yeah, It should be done by middle of next year. They are also planning a development called Pallasades or somthing like that as a "Bahama Bay part 2"!

A friend will be staying here at Easter. Are there any restaurants located within walking distance?

Thanks Paula

There is the Tradewinds Restaurant on site and also pizzas available from the bar at Mambo's but off site they would really need to drive as there is not much around.

Are they taking a car? If so, They should do what we did. Drive up to the 192, have a nice meal then we used to go back and sit at Mambo's and all have a drink.

Hope this helps

Sherberth is a back route to the parks via Osecola Parkway but you could use it to get to the 192 and BB as well or ignore it and head staright down the I-4 til junction 55 and then head north Florence Villa Grove Road is 5 miles up on the right .

We used to get off the I4 at 64B, Down the 192 then onto the 27. If you go that way you turn left opposite the new Legacy park. and its down there. The signs are always lit up for Legacy park so you can't miss it. Just stay in the left hand lane if your coming from the 192 down the 27.

We had a fantastic apartment. It was a 2 bedroom on the second floor at the end. It was great because the balcony stretched from the master bedroom all the way along to the patio entrance. We were in Block 3 which was nice because it was overlooking one of the pools which was never too busy. 2 minutes walk to the Clubhouse and 5 minutes down to the tradewinds. Whatever apartment you get though will be fantastic. I fell in love with the place.

If I can help any further then just ask, I will gladly help

It was about a 20-25 minute drive straight down the I4 dependant on traffic. You have the 192 with its shops about 5-10 minutes away. Not much on the 27 to be honest in the way of shops. You've got a publix and walmarts and a couple of restaurants but as I say, just take a trip up the 192.

Hope this helps

The Sherberth short cut is great for Disney and the I4. Sherberth is the next set of traffic lights after Marker 5 on the 192. If you are going to Universal ect. use the same route onto the Osceola Parkway go under the bridge and then take the ramp onto the I4 towards Orlando, Universal is about 20mins.

You can fish. But when we was on the fishing dock someone passed us at a great rate of knots. It appears they had just seen a gator.

Hi Brindle.

Yes, I saw someone fishing on the "Fishing dock :p: "

Apparantly there are gators but who knows anywhere in Florida where there is water and no gators.

Talking of Gators, If you know anyone who is keen to see one when they are there go to celebration. There is one there which you will find always on the side of the lake towards the cinema by all the turtles! :D

Thanks blues, yes they are having a car, so will probably do what you did. I didn't know there was a bar onsite, may need to have a look for when we visit again. :D

Thanks
