Having only ever shopped at Walmart while in Orlando, I'm keen to experience Target to see if there is any diffrence. Is there a Target Close to I-Drive?
Thanks Dibbers!

Hi Maxine
ooooh I love Target and Super Target.
There is a ST near to the Mall of Millenia not far from I-Drive - about 10 mins drive away. Below is a link to stores in the Olrando area. The store is similar to Wal-Mart but IMHO (don't slay me Wal-Mart shoppers :)) I think it is a little better. Last time we went - 2 yrs back now, the store seemed fresher, lighter, easier to navigate and had as much stock if not more than WalMart.
I easily spent 6 hours there getting all of my Xmas shopping - loads of bargains on clothes, homeware, gifts, food, jewelly, baby stuff......
The store also had a Starbucks located inside and other snack-like eateries - Tacobell I think?? It's well worth a visit

I like Wal*Mart but Target and Super Target are more like the stores we have beack home. PUblix is also a good one for grocery shopping.

I think every one knows by now that I love Super Target as well :p:
They all have Starbucks coffe shops be sure to check it out when you are in Orlando
I prefer Super Target to Walmart. Don't think the food selection is a varied and the food section is quite a lot smaller, but everything else was lovely. I agree with the comment about it being lighter and brighter than Walmart. We found the staff to be a lot more friendly as well. JMHO.

Have to say I much prefer Super Target to Walmart and agree with all Lou's comments. There is a new one on 192 just East of the junction with 535. In the same plaza, there is a JoAnns for craft stuff and a Marshalls just like T J Maxx and great for clothes and housewares. As they were only built last year they are probably some of the better branches in the area. There is also a Publix next door. I personally haven't used Walmart or Super Target for a large food shop. It seems easier to use a medium sized supermarket instead of a giant store with everything.

Thanks for all your replies...looks like I'm gonna have to try Target and Super Target. Thanks DonnaD for the heads up with the JoAnne's store, I'm an avid XStitcher and will enjoy browsing the store...materials are heaps cheaper there.

Depends where abouts on I-Drive you are. If you are down teh Sea World end then the one DonnaD mentioned is best. If you are up the other end (Universal) then the one Lou mentioned in nearer.
Damn good shop though.

For X stitch try Michaels as well. There is one at the top end of I Drive near Wet N Wild. They have a good selection and good prices. Have you looked at scrapbooking? That is even better in the US compared to here. Loads of different products for half the price. The girl in the shop was shocked by all the Brits spending fortunes in there.
