:confused: We have booked, through Virgin, to stay at the Y&B Club & have paid extra for a lagoon view room. However I would like to have a concierge room but Virgin can't do this for us. Does anyone know how I can do this bearing in mind that Disney wont know we're coming until they are notified by Virgin 2 weeks before our arrival? It's so frustrating & I'm hoping a Dibber might have the solution!

I can't think how you can get around this other than taking a risk and requesting an upgrade on check in!

Have you tried phoning the Y & B club and explaining this to them and see what they can suggest?

Hi Ottilie, when are you planning on going? I've booked through Virgin for December 2006 to stay at the Yacht Club and a couple of weeks ago I rung their UK call centre (not the Indian number), and asked if it was possible to upgrade to a concierge room, the very helpful lady I spoke to put me on hold whilst she checked with the 'contracts' department and came back to me and said they could, but it would be on request, which meant they send a request into Disney, and Disney will come back 48 hours and say yes or no. Thankfully for us Disney could do it and Virgin have confirmed we are now staying concierge and have sent me a new invoice for the amount. I also emailed the Yacht Club just to make double sure and they already have our details.

I am going to try Virgin again ... hopefully it wont be the Indian Call Centre!
We are going next April so hopefully it will be ok. It just shows how info can vary from one member of staff to another!

Try this number 0871 222 3828, it takes you to the UK call centre and they are very helpful. If you have any trouble just say you know of someone (me :) ) who has managed to upgrade and I've got the new invoice to prove it :)
