Just got back yesterday - what can I say what a great city and so far removed from our Disney fix!
Weather was very kind and we had a fantastic time just me and grumpy john. Were there for the Fleet Week the weekend was very busy but saw the Blue Angels (US equivalent of Red Arrows) and lots of navy ships were in port but this tapered off after Tuesday and we are both stuffed to the brim with lots of clam chowder and fantastic seafood. Did Alcatraz, went to Yosemite Park, Monteray, Carmel and lots of other things.
Flew BA WTP for the first time after being a Virgin PE convert for a few years and found they are so different. In-flight entertainment, cabin and staff, we thought were superior to Virgin. But in Virgin's favour they have priority boarding for PE. This we felt was because boarding on BA is through the WTP cabin. At Heathrow boarding was a complete shambles and San Francisco was smooth and perfectly organised.
On to planning for the next holiday now - have some Virgin airmiles to use.
