Guys,
I'm looking for any tips you may have for the Magic Kingdom to add to the New DIBB website.

I have literally hundreds of tips but I'd rather use more upto date ones. So if you have any tips for the Magic Kingdom, Attractions, Rides, Restaurants, Parades etc and you would like to see them on the website then please post them here.

Cheers.

A pretty major (and relatively unknown) tip that can be used in all parks is that the expiry times on Fast Passes do not matter.

As long as you arrive after the start time and obviously on the same day they will let you on.

This theoretically means that you can have fast passes for a few rides at a time.

This is particularly useful in the Magic Kingdom due to the large amount of FP rides.

Another one is to take the ferry boat across from the TTC.

It is much less stressful than the scrum for the monorail.

Also the view is much nicer and it doesn't take much longer than the monorail.

Another tip -- Get to the park before opening to see the ceremony up at the train station.

If you are using the lockers at one park and are park hopping make sure and get the green transfer reciept so you won't have to pay again at the next park.

When exiting MK after parade and/or fireworks take the resort monorail (usually left hand side one) as there are massive lines for the TTC. All monorails stop at TCC:wink

Last year we were in the crowd moving slowly towards monorail and an American guy started talking to us and we told him this tip. He asked what other tips we could give him:D

I'm sure it is known to many but it was confirmed to us by our guide on the Keys to the Kingdom tour, that the vast majority of people head for Tomorrowland first at rope drop and that Adventureland (PotC) and Frontierland (Splash, BTMR) are deserted at this time. So go left and then clockwise to avoid the busiest crowds.

If you want to watch the show in front of the castle but don't want to sit on the rock hard pavement - try to time your refreshment break to co-incide with show time and sit at the Plaza Pavilion which is on the corner of Tomorrowland. If you get seats near to the outside, you will get a reasonably good view (albeit a bit off to one side!). We also try to get near to the entrance of Tomorrowland (there's a little garden to the left as you enter) for the evening fireworks. Tinkerbell flies right overhead.

A great viewing spot for the parades and fireworks is on the balcony of the railroad station at the bottom of Main Street. You will need to get there early if you want a front row spot and a chair.

The porch of the Crystal Palace is another good spot for Wishes as you are high enough to see over the heads of the people in front.

An early reservation for a character breakfast at Crystal Palace or Cinderella's Royal Table will allow you to get into the park before almost anyone else. This is the perfect opportunity to take some uncrowded photos on the way along Main Street.

When leaving the park after the fireworks - walk all the way from the Crystal Palace to the main square inside the shops you'll avoid all the people shuffling down main street and get out ahead of most of the crowds

Visit the barbers on main street for the kids to get a haircut or to put some pixie dust in your hair

if all the restaurants are busy (or even if they aren't), try the columbia harbour house - it has a huge upstairs area which is rarely full, and a nice menu which isn't just burgers and chips (in fact they don't have ANY burgers on the menu). The tuna sandwich is gorgeous and a welcome break from the normal fried offerings elsewhere.

it's just across from the entrance to the haunted mansion, on the border between fantasyland and liberty square

If you have any Little Mermaid fans then make sure to be in the queue at least 15 mins before her grotto opens (usually about 10am in rest of park opens at 9.00am), the line to meet her moves very slowly all day!

Also, if you arrive at MK on a busy day and Main St is heaving then walk through the shops at a brisk pace and you will get to the central hub much quicker. The shops are empty then but you do need to be firm with children and DH about not stoppinng to browse!!

If you got to MNSSHP get there before the park closes to the general public. There is an hour between the park closing and the start of the party and the park is almost empty, you can walk on any ride you like as they don't close during the hour.

Liberty Tree Tavern porch is a good spot to watch parades from and can be empty to quite late. I'd also second the Columbia Harbour House as a quiet spot. If there are two electrical parades try for the second one and position yourself in the Town Square, often quite empty.

For anyone with little girls, if you arrive at park opening and head straight to Tinkerbell's Treasures you may be allowed to wake up Tinkerbell and let her out to fly around the shop. A little girl is chosen every morning for this special task from among the first guests to arrive.
