Magic Kingdom has MVMCP (Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party). We bought ours through Disney by telephone, you can only get them direct from Disney. Go on here for information on MVMCP http://allearsnet.com/tp/hol_mk.htm
This is the phone no. for the general reservations office, 001-407-934-7639. Or this no. for ticket info, 001-407-824-4321.

We spent xmas at Disney a few years ago. You have to see the osbourne lights and we enjoyed the ice show at gaylord palms though it was quite expensive. There was also a brilliant looking Santa and grotto at mall millenia. I think Celebration has snow falling on an evening. On xmas day itself we avoided the parks and played crazy golf instead then had a lovely meal at Arthurs 27 at the wyndham palace where we could see the fireworks at disney.
Hope this helps

Definately recommend ICE at Gaylord Palms. Remember to wear trousers, not shorts. It gets cold, even with the padded coats they lend you.
Welcome to the Dibb - Heather

Christmas at WDW is a very magical time…I just posted this on another thread:
Holidays Around the World. At EPCOT Begins the day after Thanksgiving ( the 4th Thursday in November) until the first of January . If you have not been to this event…please try and schedule a holiday around this time of year because EPCOT becomes a very magical place….you can not image the sights, sounds and beauty…and then you have the Christmas Choir…it is an amazing performance….a must see and experience…this has become a family event and it will get you into the holiday spirit.
MK is absolutely magical and please do not miss the MGM studios for the nightly Osborne family light….it is incredible…. DW and I were at MGM yesterday to see the stunt show….they were working on setting them up…it is going to be fantastic.
Also come on down to Celebration (the Disney built community…if you take World Drive to the opposite end of MK you run right into our town….follow the signs downtown.) Every night it snows in Celebration…we have train rides, horse and buggies rides, hot chocolate…on the weekend we have carolers (some are the Liberty singers from EPCOT) and a very festival evening….
Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
Phil
PS Also please take the time to visit all of the WDW resorts ( they are free to get into)… in the Grand Floridian…they have an absolutely beautiful (and it is BIG) Christmas tree, the largest Gingerbread House I have ever seen…then at the Boardwalk they have a beautiful chocolate sculpture in the lobby….AKL is beautiful…… all are worth the time to visit and the good thing is it is all FREE…..

Hi Phil, Thanks for all the info. Maybe you could answer a few more questions for me? Is it possible to book 3 day Disney tickets? If yes where/ how? If we wanted to book Christmas Dinner at The Grand Floridian (1900 Park Fare Restaurant) is it possible? Regarding Celebration where would you recommend they eat and do we need to book? Is there one website that I can do all these bookings on? Sorry to be such a pain but it is proving very difficult to book all these things via the internet. Hope your don't mind all the questions! Thanks again - yours in Disney!

Hi Happycamper,
First of all , speaking from personal experience I would say avoid all parks on xmas day, it was manic, we couldn't even walk properly, we just shuffled along with the crowds!
We had booked a table at The Crystal Palace for dinner which we did but then the waiting times for the rides were 1-2 hrs long so we left,as we had been to the MK a few days before.
We went for a lovely walk in DTD and then went to the cinema to watch Monsters Inc as it had just been released there.
We always go in Dec so we always go to MVMCP, its fab, love it....
And we also always go to Celebration and do the snow-fall there, oh and at DTD they have local school choirs singing carols which are fantastic, oh there is just so much to do, its a magical time of year over there.

Hi Happycamper
We spent last Christmas at Disneyworld. We too booked Christmas Dinner at the Crystal Palace (the characters are Winnie the Pooh, Tigger etc). When we woke up Xmas morning it was pouring with rain so we stayed in, had a relaxed breakfast of pancakes, Baileys Hagen Daaz and a Breezer or two! It was still pouring at about midday, but we realised that we could have stayed at home in the UK and spent the day indoors so, we jumped on the bus to MK.
On arrival, streams and streams of people were leaving all at once and we thought "uh oh, whats happening". We asked a CM who told us that the fireworks and all processions had been cancelled due to the rain. We had to stay because of our CP reservation at 5pm. What a good job we did, the park virtually emptied. Ride queues were down to 20-25 mins tops. We went on all our fav rides at least a couple of times and still got to CP in time. Unfortunately, they were running a little late so we had to wait half an hour (it was cold Brrrrr). However, this turned to our advantage cos when we had finished dinner we walked out onto Main St just as they were starting the Spectromagic Parade - the rain had stopped so they must have changed their minds - what a brilliant end to a fantastic day. So, my advice is, even if the heavens open on Xmas Day - get out there and enjoy the day.
