Going to Disney next in 08 (ages away I know:nonono: ) but just wondering is there generally a new attraction near enough every year such as Soarin this year Everest next. Anyone heard any rumours/ news. All I can find is Tarzan Rocks might be closing to be replaced by something Nemoish.

It has certainly been on the grapevine for a while that Tarzan is closing but to be replaced with what I have no idea. I think they try and bring at least one new thing in every year so there should be a couple of new things for your next visit!!

I'd expect after Everest at Disney, it may be 2009/2010 befor disney adds more, or updates hopefully a new addition for MK:beer:

Nothing has been anounced yet, but I can't see them letting Epcots 25th Aniversary in 2007 pass by without a new attraction of some sort.
I also think that at some point in the near future though highly unlikely to be before 2008 a new big money attraction will be built at MGM and Magic Kingdom.
At MGM they need to put a new ride as far away from TOT and Rock N Rollercoaster as possible to dissipate the crowds from that area.
in the Magic Kingdom they have an obvious site (2K Lagoon) to build a new ride, however I there is an other area that I think will be updated first.
If you read any Disney rumour sites you will know I am talking about where Carousel Of Progress and Timekeeper are.
Timekeeper hasn't run for a long time and COP (even though it is running regularly at the moment) is widely rumoured to be closing / moving (perhaps to epcot)
I would be willing to bet money though, that all going well with the current talks when a new ride is built at Magic Kingdom or MGM it will be based on Pixar characters.
All the above is pure speculation on my part. :)
I'm 90% sure though that Tarzan is closing in March.

I think Lights Motors Action was placed to try to do that but, I agree, the ToT and RnRC area is packed - even on the very quiet recent days.
I thought there had been a big bust up between Pixar and Disney? I know Buzz etc are getting big exposure but I thought The Incredibles was the last co-prduction. As ever I could be very wrong.

They are still in talks at the moment.
Personally I thing they would be crazy to give up their partnership with Pixar as apart from Lilo and Stitch the only good animated Disney movies in the past few years have been Pixar ones.
What's the news on Living seas at Epcot?? I know it's being re-vamped and they are apparently intergrating Finding Nemo into it?? Anyone have any info??

Interestingly Steve Jobs (Apple/Pixar) and Bob Iger (Disney) have recently announced that Disney (ABC) has done a deal with Apple to make 'Desperate Housewives, Lost and That's so Raven' available for the New Video IPOD.
Jobs and Iger seem to get on. Eisner and Jobs did not. So fingers crossed something can be sorted out between Pixar and Disney.

On a couple of other sites I visit people seem to be thinking that Jobs may even be offered a seat on the Disney board as part of a deal between the 2 companies.

Now wouldn't that be interesting.
On the Apple site you can see the presentation where Bob Iger appears with Steve Jobs to announce this new partnership. (Between Disney and Apple). It's near the end of the presentation but the whole thing is worth watching just to see what a fantasic Salesman Steve Jobs is. He would certainly be a great asset to the Disney Board.

A new coaster will open at DLP early 2007 based on Finding Nemo, it will have elements of spinning coaster, light effects, blacklight effects and then velocity coaster action...It sounds therefore like it will be using the MAG technology (Like Mummy at US).. It seems likely it will be copied into another park at the earliest opportunity..
Myself I cant wait to try out Indiana Jones at Disneyland this christmas, like ToT this introduces totally random features and effects into each ride which gives an edge in the rides repeatability..
